  • Go to heathrow they have plenty to choose from!
  • Burst into tears...and then blame my husband
  • Demand i be notified as soon as they find it
  • It happened to me once. I notified the airline's customer service while I was still in the airport. They were able to track the flight my luggage was on. It was shipped to my home about 6 hours later.
  • I would talk to whoever is in charge and would make them look for it until they find it. If they don't find it, I would file a law suit in order to get back what was mine.
  • Id be pretty damn peed off, and would expect them to either hurry up and find it or fund my shopping trip to buy new stuff to replace it
  • Good Evening Keithold, I Complain! An airline has lost my Luggage before. I had to call and Complain. They got it in Florida where i was at but i was still mad. They basically broke my Suitcase. They cut of my little lock that was unlocked! My luggage was torn and the wheels wouldnt work. They gave me a $50 voucher that i have to use torward their airlines. Oh as you can tell i Complain alot. lol
  • Same thing I always do. Go home or to the hotel and hope they call me within 24 hours.
  • When I came back from South America with all my luggage, the airline called to say they were coming to reurn my luggage that had just come from Zurich.
  • Not this.. http://www.thecelebritycafe.com/features/15086.html
  • I have had it happen at the time it was just after an accident and they lost my wheelchair too. When my stuff had done almost a tour of the states it arrived in Vegas .My wheelchair was smashed. North West, had to buy a new Wheelchair and compensate for the loss of my luggage.
  • Be abusive to the airline staff, then spit at the police officer who removes me from the plane saying I'm "unfit to fly"?
  • I have flown extensively for many years and have never had a single piece of luggage "lost" but have had luggage misdirected and in 2007, I had 2 pieces never "catch up" to me for 3 weeks while traveling in Asia and I had the airline send it to my home. Simply complete the paperwork at the airline, get a receipt or copy of your paperwork with incident or case number and then ask for help via a voucher, loaner luggage or even a toiletry bag until yours is located--all they can say is no.
  • Have a GREAT excuse to go on a shopping spree ... Woo Hoo!!! ;-D
  • you smell really bad till you get new clothes...its a sad time
  • I wish I would lose my luggage because that would mean I have gone somewhere.
  • You would go to their lost luggage counter and work with the airline staff to file a report of lost luggage. In the report you would provide your contact details. Then, assuming the airline eventually locates your luggage, they would deliver it to you wherever you happened to be. That's what you would do.
  • I have had it happen TWICE
  • Take someone elses. :)
  • Sue them yo...
  • I have had it happen TWICE and its not fun. First time they lost my suitcase so I threw a fit and had to wear my mom's clothing for a day (since I was visiting my mom) and the next time they lost my son's CARSEAT. I was very upset, I still havant been compensated for it, I had to buy a new one. They give us a loaner to use and since it was a toddler carseat and my son was still under 6 months, I was irate.
  • It was not lost actually but demaged... but the airlines compensated me for the 3 packets of chocolates melted down due high temperature while transfering it from airplane to the luggage belt. But they had not compensated for my cloths ruined as result of the chocolate melt.
  • What I always do: report it and wait for the luggage. If it doesn't turn up, file for the insurance
  • It has happened to me. I just notified the airline at the airport, when I didn't receive it at the baggage terminal. They delivered it to my house the next day.
  • When I was a Junior in high school I went on exchange to Germany and packed two huge (brand new) suitcases with an inappropriate amount of clothing. I had to change planes at Heathrow in London and they managed to lose both of my suitcases which meant that the first thing I got to do in Germany was go on a shopping spree with the money that the airline gave me for losing my bags. It actually kind of made for a neat experience; I didn't have any of my old things with me except for my toiletries, my journal and the clothes I traveled from home in so I got to sort of reinvent my style to kick off my year.
  • Curse like there's no tomorrow.
  • File a report. That's about all you can do. I had a piece of luggage that was lost for over a year and then it was returned to me
  • It's never happened to me. I'm very old and have flown a lot. If it did happen I'd just go down to Walmart and spend $150.00 to replace my wardrobe. No great loss.
