  • By definition this is not driving. DUI = driving under the influence
  • No, but there are other charges that you can get hit with. Public intoxication for one. It all depends on were you live.
  • maybe it would be a P.U.I peddling under the influence. but no you won't get a D.U.I.
  • I most states, yes. You can also get a DUI in many states for riding a horse while intoxicated.
  • I think you can indeed.
  • I don't think you can in California because I think the legal definition of driving is operating a motor vehicle.
  • Yes you can!!! you can also get one while using a canoe/fishing boat with a trolling motor on it.
  • In California, bicycles, wheelchairs, and airplanes are not covered under the DUI law, however, you don't get off that easily. You are still covered under the Public Intoxication law, and will be prosecuted.
  • Probably not a DUI but a Drunk in Public!!
  • d.w.i.(driving while intoxicated)/d.u.i./(driving under the influence)o.u.i.(operating under the influence),are all the same thing and you can be arrested and jailed for it ,plus if you hold a comercial license and you are caught operating ANY vehicle or conveyance ,under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol ,it will go against your commercial d.l. and you COULD loose your class A and your d.o.t. card that goes with it .conveyance means "any vehicle, skate board, bicycle, rollerskates, horse, goat cart ,dog sled ,boat ,personal water craft ,canoe ,rowboat ,motor cycle skis ,any device used to transport a person or persons ..... and this is also a law in california ,but due to the case loads thar most jurisdictions have ,they do not always pursue it ,but they could if they so chose !
  • if you read the DMV hand book bicycle must obey all the same laws that cars do, so stands to reason that drinking and driving would be a no-no also. most states very though, in general its against the law to drink and drive on a bike, horse, lawn mower, moped and in a boat. and then theres just plain walk-in and being drunk in public, a drunk in disorderly, so pretty much stay at home or stay at the bar till cab takes you home, if your drunk
