  • When I was "young" there was no "Barney". I grew up with Barney Rubble.
  • We didn't have Barney when I was little... sesame street, Mr. Rogers, and Electric Company. For the record I think Barney is retarded, demeaning and condescending to kids, and not very educational.
  • Yes, I never really liked him though, but he just happen to be on during saturday morning cartoons between like Hulk and the Ninja Turtles so I watched it. I think he is kinda scary- and wasn't the guy inside the Barney costume accused of molest or rape or something where he shoudn't be allowed around children!?! (I may be wrong there, but he's still creepy)
  • There was no Barney when I was young. We watched Muppet Babies, the Polka Dot Door, Mr. Dressup, and things like that.
  • Thankfully, that bastard wasn't there when I was growing up. I just watch great Space coaster or dangermouse.
  • Sesame Street, The Friendly Giant, Mr. Rogers, Mr. Dressup, The Polka Dot Door and The Electric Company were kids shows when I was growing up. Thankfully Barney wasn't around then.
  • When I was young there was Barney Fife and Barney Miller. They were alright.
  • Which Barney? I watched reruns with Barney Fife and Barney Rubble, I saw Barney Miller when it came out. My son watched Barney Gumble with me in his childhood. But I never watched Barney the Dinosaur.
  • .. for an old dinosaur he is very immature.
  • Barney Miller? I was an adult but I was younger :-) Didn't see a lot of the episodes. I think they still are fun to watch. THE Barney? I was an adult and I have always thought he was just the worst thing, dull, mind-numbing and not for child or adult. I hated Barney. There were and are much better things for kids to do than watch Barney.
  • I am so glad that he wasn't around until I became an adult. He could have polluted my mind with his inane crap. I would feel bad for any kid that watched that drivel. Sesame Street was the bomb though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BH4v1iagjko&feature=related You can have fun with this link. http://impressive.net/games/barney/fun.cgi
  • Nope, I was a kid during the golden age of childrens television. When morning cartoons were worth getting up for.
  • I never watched him. My nephews did. I hope they make a new movie with the Terminator blowing Barney's head off.
  • That giant purple dinosaur got me through some rough times, no matter how ridiculous he may be. lol...
  • Barney wasn't around when I was young (I watched Sesame Street and Electric Company and Mr. Dressup with Casey and Finnegan and The Friendly Giant...oh, can't forget Oopsie the Clown and Bozo!) and I didn't watch it with my kids when they were little. They weren't into Barney very long at all. My youngest two were little when Blues Clues started, and they much preferred that. Which was great because I had to get them up early to get them to day care so I could go to work, and Blues Clues was on at 5:30am and it woke them right up!
  • No. I was never a child when Barney was on. I did do my best to discourage my kids from watching it, but that was a losing battle with my older ones. Now I do not have a TV, but they manage to see some of his stuff over the web and with DVDs on their computers.
  • No, I was an adult when Barney came on tv.
  • It was the wrong generation for me ... but my kids watched it ... every day. Day after day after day ...
  • i didnt but my lil boy did xx
  • maybe a few times but didn't enjoy it.
