  • If they go to collections it effects your credit pretty bad until it is bad off.
  • Unpaid delinquint medical bills will destroy your credit as bad as any other debt that goes into collections. Except it's usually a big amount. It makes me mad that things like medical bills and student loans can ruin credit. The poor just get poorer while those blessed with good health and enough money to have good credit can pat themselves on the back for 'being responsible and making good choices' when often that has nothing to do with it. Sorry- rant over.
