  • Being a mother of 2, ages 9 and 8 months, I know that babies will do different things at different ages. Whenever they feel like doing it basically. My daughter crawled at 7 months and my son was crawling at almost 6 months. I've heard of babies crawling when they're 9 and 10 months, so when they're interested, they'll do in on their own. It doesn't mean one baby is smarter than the other just because he/she crawled at an earlier age. It just might mean that that particular baby was more interested or more ready.
  • There is no appropriate age for crawling. Im a mother of a 4 yr old, a 2 yr old, a 1yr old and a 3 month old. One crawled backwards at about 5 months old then walked at 8 months, and the other 2 never crawled at all they just walked, one @ 7 months and the other a about 10 months. The other not yet and hopefully not soon.
  • Baby will crawl when the bones are strong enough and not before. The same guide applies to walking. A so-called walker puts weight on bones that are not strong enough to support it, so don't get one.
