The one that does not require any eating manners which I think is the BBQ.

definitely a BBQ!!! it's casual, laid back and good food. and most of the time good company. and when the sun goes down, that's when the fun really begins.....sitting back laughing at all the "drunks" making a fool outta themselves......and there's always one at every BBQ that just has to pick a fight with someone......

Oh, that really depends. If there's some sort of collegiate sport involved, and if it's the afternoon, I'll go to the BBQ because it's more suited to the task at hand (getting drunk, yelling at people who can't hear me, and having fun in the sun). Otherwise, I'll take the dinner party.
-
BBQ! That's way better than a dinner party. :)

The BBQ don't have to dress up for them where with the dinner party I would have to dress up for it.

No question about it, a BBQ. I'd much rather hang with friends at a casual get together than get dressed up and go to a fancy dinner. I love burgers & hot dogs cooked on the grill. Throw on some corn and maybe some sausage, crack open a beer ... Yum, nothing better!
-

Definately a BBQ. Is a more relaxed atmosphere, reminds me of summer, is a chance to meet with family/friends and be yourself rather than having to mind your p's and q's and at BBQ's you don't need to feel self-concious about the way you look or your clothes.

Depends on my mood. Dinner parties are great for formal fun, dressing up, eating amazing food. BBQs are more like, party time, beer, crazy loud music and fun. At this exact moment, I'd be rocking the BBQ.

BBQ, hands down! I am not a fancy, dress up kinda gal...nor are my friends or family. I'm a laid back midwestern, meat, potatoes and cold beer kinda gal. BBQs are always so much more relaxed and fun. I'm never comfortable at stuffy, dressy dinner parties!

I understand that it is disgusting for vegetarians to be around meats and cooking of meat and such. However, it is going a little overboard demanding for meat-free environment. And please don't compare this to cigarette smoking and such. Being around meat is not hazardous to one's health. And beyond that... if you can't stand meats.. don't go to a BBQ place.. there are plenty of restaurants you can find without overpowering scent of meat. i say that you go to the dinner party http://www.foodsun.com
