Yes.... it was her unselfish way of making her sister the "Star" for a change!! That is one of my ALL time favorite movies!!!!

No. She had been away from the game for about a week. Everyone forgets that Dottie had just returned from her quitting the game a week ago and had spent the last week sitting in a car with her husband while driving back home. When Kitt rammed her, Dottie was unprepared and not in top condition as Kitt was.
