• "Knowledge" is generally accepted as the forbidden fruit.

The fruit of knowledge was it. Then Adam and Eve had the knowledge they were naked.

They were naked yes, but the nakedness spoken of here is the "naked" feeling one has after they have committed a crime and been caught. Their crime was the sin of not doing as the Lord God commanded thus opening their eyes to the horribleness of the future world.
  • As the bible really doesn't say what fruit but many assume a apple. I did a little research and this is what I found: the_garden_of_eden_fruit.html?cat=2
  • I heard it was some kind of date.
  • It was actually a Fruit Pastile from a Rowntree.
  • The forbidden fruit which is called the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil.
  • The Bible does not say...but it does not matter what the fruit was...its all about being obedient to a command... (Genesis 2:16, 17) Jehovah God also gave this command to the man:

The Lord God gave the command first to Adam then Adam told Eve. You JWs twist everything around.

The question was...about fruit or not...It would not matter what the command was about obedience to commands...
  • Pride which was represented as an apple in folklore.
  • It does not really matter WHAT Jehovah God asked of Adam and is about obedience....Adam and Eve were created perfect and by disobedience, brought on imperfection...resulting in death... (Genesis 2:16, 17) Jehovah God also gave this command to the man:
  • It wasn't the Apple it was the Pair. :)
    • Keble Bolly-Jocksford
A pair of apples? Good one, Nick. :)
  • Most people think it was an apple, but it wasn't, it was a grapefruit.
  • Remembering that what Adam and Eve did in eating an actual, but divinely forbidden, fruit signified rebellion against Jehovah
  • The pleasure in being spanked.
  • It's popularly assumed to be an apple and you'll find it used in several children's publications but the original bible text doesn't specify. Although it's implied that it's not an apple. God gave Adam and Eve permission to eat all fruit in the Garden of Eden which bore seeds suggesting that the forbidden fruit did not bear seeds so in this day and age it wouldn't even be classified as a fruit. Apples bear seeds.
