Drugs are not good. They alter the body's ability to think properly. The body is considered to be the Temple of God. So we have to treat it with the utmost respect.

The Bible does say that God said "I give you EVERY herb bearing seed". It never says anywhere to not smoke or eat marijuana -it is a gift from God. A holy sacrement.

Yes, God made the Marijuana Plant, but from a Christian view; there must be another use for it other than to smoke it, because it does alter our minds. In the Bible it says; "A drunken man cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven". I believe this refers to ANYTHING that becomes consuming in your life. I am a past smoker, and I loved the way it made me feel spiritually. I thought that I was really close to God, when I was not. If I have to use a substance to feel safe and at peace, then I am not fully walking with God, and I do not fully understand why Jesus died for me. I need a relationship with HIM; not a substance. There are many distractions in this world; that is what Satan intends! Usually the most controversial are really about our morals; and based on what we know to be true, the decisions we are going to make. Whether it be alcohol, food, drugs (presciption AND street), exercise, sex, etc. These things that consume OUR hearts instead of God being in that role, are all things we are idolizing. Too much of anything (instead of Jesus!) is NEVER a good thing.

The bible says that marijuana is good to use in moderation. It also recommends the use of peyote and other mescaline containing cacti. Mushrooms ( heavenly manna ) are good for those who are not a slave to religion. Some people say that DMT will show you how to meet God.

I don't think it says anything relevant to drugs, but it's probably against them because God doesn't want people to inflict harm upon themselves. But then again, you could say that about smoking and getting tattoos, so I don't know.

The Bible does not name any drugs in its pages. What it does say is anything that brings harm to self or others is wrong and should not be done. All drugs, including alcohol can damage the body therefore should not be consumed in harmful amounts. This can range in amounts from 0% upward to 5% to 10% depending on the person or substance

The bible says "And thou shalt smoke thee pot and get thee stoned in thy bounty, thee thou thou, thou, and how. It also says "and you shall eat of my acid and trip balls, my child" (though I think my copy possibly may have been edited) (maybe).

5-7-2017 It is not reliable to let people tell you what the bible says. Many people will make up stuff because they don't know what it says, and many will make up stuff because they wish it would not say what it says. You just have to read it for yourself. Read a chapter of Proverbs every day. Proverbs has 31 chapters so you can keep your place by just looking at a calendar. There is no religion or nothing in Proverbs and you don't have to believe anything. Just read to find wisdom. When you are comfortable with that, then read the bible from Romans to 2 Thessalonians over and over until you start to remember what it says. That is the part that applies to Christians.
