  • Public Schools. The staff, faculty, and administrators care about the students and education. And Public Schools are free. Many people choose private schools due to problems with the public school system; the only real problem with public schools is that too many parents don't want to help, and take an active role in their child's education. All parents really need to commit to is a small amount of time talking with their child about class, and teacher conferences about once every few months, less as the student gets older.
  • This is such an important decision. I looked at the school's state student scores, faculty/staff, and parent involvement. I used a site called http://www.greatschools.org/, talked to other parents, and took tours of the prospective schools.

Private schools are great, but if your child has any delays public is better equipped to handle.
