  • I have, all three, before she was 2.
  • I have never liked the circus but I think a kid should experience one, so yes. I loved parades as a kid but not much as an adult, so yes. I still like fireworks so defenatly.
  • Sure! I've taken them to the Circus and several fireworks shows already. They are very entertaining! My oldest, (when she was 2), coined the name "firepops", that we ALL still use today (23 years later), when referring to fireworks! We've been fortunate in that we live a couple of blocks from the "sports stadium" where they have 7-10 fireworks shows a year! I see nothing wrong with either.
  • I will! I want them to love them as much as I do!!! AND when I don't have kids......going to the circus won't look as funny as it does not me going by my self!! LOL! I love the circus too much to miss it!!!
  • I would because it's entertaining.
  • Neither. We have watched too many shows about the elephants going wild or the seating stands fall to pieces. When it comes to fire works I set off a few for them in the back yard. Going to one of those is too risky. Either the one setting them off screws up or the crowd will trample you wwhen the fireworks don't go as planned.
  • I have taken my daughter to a parade and fireworks. We don't do circuses. I hate clowns and she thinks they treat the animals poorly.
  • My son is 9 and has been to all three. We love going to see a fireworks display and I don't really see any safety concerns as long as you are far enough away. I, personally, am not a big fan of parades, but he has fun so sometimes we go. We have gone to see a circus 2 or 3 times, and he loved it. I'm not sure if we'll continue to go, but it has been enjoyable in the past.
  • We have been to all three. The Fireworks show was the biggest hit - my daughter absolutely loved it, especially how noisy and bright the fireworks were. We also wore 3D glasses for part of the show which made it even more special. I find parades to be mostly boring, as does my daughter. Watching things go by and waving to them really isn't our idea of a fun time. We both need quite a lot of visual and intellectual stimulation from activities to enjoy them. I have only taken my daughter to the Circus once and she hated it. She felt sorry for the animals and could not enjoy herself so we wound up leaving early.
  • G'day Anonymous Girl, Thanks for your question. I would take my children (if I had them) to all three. They are entertaining for them. As well, fireworks displays staged by professionals are much safer than having them at home although I may well do something on the Queens birthday long weekend in June. Regards
  • I used to take my son to all three, he loved them . I would continue to take him if he was here.
  • Of course..when I was a child my parents took me to all of the above and when my son was young he went to all of the above..they're fun to attend, so why would you hesitate? :)
  • Yeah I would...if I had kids. :P
  • Fireworks-yes Parades- yes Circus-....NO! I hate clowns. I will pay someone to take my kids to the circus.
  • all of em, especially fireworks, i love fireworks!
  • I took my son to all of those and hope to be able to take my yet to be born grandchild.
  • I'd take them to a parade or fireworks but not the circus. I refuse to support the circus due to the cruel treatment and exploitation of the animals.
  • They are grown. They would not go, even if asked.
  • All of the above if I can. I don't see why not. I've been to all of them and really enjoyed it. I think parades and fireworks are a pretty standard part of growing up in America. And the circus is fun to see at least once.
  • I took my children to the circus and fireworks. Now I live in a town that always has a Christmas parade. I've taken my grandchildren to a small circus that used to come to our town and to the parades and to fireworks by the Queen Mary. The circus was the best. They only had an elephant and a camel and it was really for little kids. The big tent was up and the kids could sit right up by the circus ring to watch the fire eater, the acrobats, the jugglers, etc. and it was just the best to watch their faces. It was stopped because of perceived cruelty to animals.
  • Let us assume that I had kids first. Circus, yes. Definitely Parade... unlikely, but more because we don't have them here and never found them exciting when I was young. The fireworks are a tricky one. I think my friends and neighbors have done more/better fireworks shows than any official function ;)
  • I have taken mine to all 3. They love it!
  • I would take a child to see fireworks but not a parade unless it was a small town local kind of parade where you know everyone. I think they are either too loud or too boring unless you know the people. As to the circus, I would take them to something like Cirque de Soliel but not one's with animals in them. I've personally seen too many bad things about the way animals are treated that even though I did enough parts of them as a child, I just can't justify a few enjoyable minutes for their suffering.
  • Sure... We've been to a circus a couple of times (one at a company party), and we've watched the fireworks from our driveway for 13-15 years. Early on, we also drove to Indy and sat on an exit to watch THEY go off, then drove home to watch the rest of them here. I don't remember going to a parade, but why not? Why? Kids LOVE the acts, the wild animals, floats, the clowns and dancers, and the beauty of fireworks pretty much appearing in the sky. (The BOOMS can be a bit scary, but if they are warned, and know they can cover their ears...) ;-)
  • I have taken her to all three because I like to go myself and I hope she will like them also. We will have something we can share.
  • We have went to the circus before and decided we will not go back unless Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey circus comes back to town. We go to all the parades in town which is about 3 times a year.We watch the fireworks on the top of our roof as we have the best view. We can easily climb out from the upstairs bedroom window and have a great view of the park they are held at. We can also view the surrounding two towns shows from there.
  • I've taken my oldest to all 3. The 3 year old hasn't been to the circus yet, but that's because they're so expensive anymore.
  • Yes ...I would ...I like it myself and my parents used to take me to such places :-)
