Not necessarily; although, fleas like ticks do usually live in grass. BOttom line: Fleas are everywhere! Especially, in grass, so be careful, or you might get an unwanted visitor!

I agree with the above answer. I am in the third summer of using Revolution on my dogs. Although they spend time in grassy places and eve go to the woods and river, they never have fleas. Note, the one has fleas allergies, and the other is inspected monthly by some body trained to make sure I am taking good care of her.
