  • http://www.choicetolivewith.com/herbalabortion.html - Herbal abortions do not work well. If you take them the correct way at the correct time in your cycle they have a 20-30% chance of causing abortion. - Health risks can be considerable and may lead to death. See specific herbs for detailed information on risks. - Most herbal abortifacients may cause birth defects if the abortion does not occur. - Most herbal abortifacients may cause complications in the pregnancy if the abortion does not occur. * - * - * - * - * - * - * - * - * - * - * - * - * - * If you really want to do this, go too clinic. Faster, easier, safer for you than "herbal" methods. Insert my argument about how you could adopt the kid out as an alternative... And how I know it is a necessary evil at times but would prefer you think longer and harder about it BEFORE you do so. Also insert my warning that women who do have abortions usually later in life come to regret it and have serious doubts and have a nagging sense that they did a moral sin or similar.
  • why would you want a abortion! its not the babys fault! my auntie aborted twice and she always wishes she could take it back. trust me you will regret this.
  • Consult with planned parenthood or a similar organization. The risk is that if it doesn't work it still may do damage to the unborn child. I don't think you'd want that to happen. They may be able to steer you toward the right technique. You want to be sure it is done properly. Good luck.
  • Trying to induce a miscarriage is VERY dangerous. You may be skeptical about the surgical procedure, but in my eyes, a d&c is the only way to be sure it's safe. If you weren't so far along, the other option here would be to have the "medical" abortion - which is a series of pills administered by the doctor to induce a miscarriage. But the farther along you are, the more dangerous it is for you. I can tell you from experience that I was very nervous when I went in for the surgical procedure. But the doctors are very helpful. You will feel a little pain, but it will probably be about that of a bad menstrual cramp. And the recovery time is quick. Whereas when you induce a miscarriage, it could go on endlessly with no sign of stopping. You would be in the comfort of your own home, but it would last for hours. You bleed for a while after a d&c, but at least the abortion itself is over quickly. Go to the clinic and ask someone who works there what their opinion is. But at 12 weeks, I would stay away from herbal solutions. Even the doctors stop offering the pharmaceutical option at 5 weeks, so that should tell you something.
  • If you have to choose abortion, and adoption is out of the question then PLEASE go to a doctor. I am a Certified Herbalist, and there are time when herbs can do more damage than good. I can not morally tell you which herbs will cause a miscarriage, they can harm the child and mother. And if they do not abort the child then they can cause serious health problems for the infant. If abortion is the only option for you then please seek medical advice. And do not be bothered by the negative comments people may give you regarding YOUR decision. I am not for abortion, I am actually against it. But it is not my place or anyone elses place to pass judgement on you. Take care and good luck to you.
  • I dont no of an herbal way but I did have an abortion at 14 weeks and the more weeks you are the more risk there are and the more money it is, so if your going to have one you should have it asap just to keep from harming you. good luck! I know your not looking for an opinion so i am not going even give mine..
  • First off thanks for being a pro-choice person! Secondly, however, I couldn't recommend any herbal remedies for an abortion. All the ones I've heard about aren't safe for the woman and don't have a full chance of working either. I realize that abortions are quite costly, but try going to a Planned Parenthood in your area (or something similar). I'm sure they can be of some sort of help. Good luck!
  • If you didn't want to carry the baby, why on earth did you wait until 3 months had gone by before making this decision?
  • I think that an abortion is just completely wrong. You are too far along you will be killing a human being. My husband and I have tried for far too long to get pregnant and women who don't want children get pregnant and kill the babies. It's just wrong and I have to believe you will be punished for it later.
  • your so selfish. i can't believe you waited until the baby could actually FEEL. yeah that little jelly bean in there HAS NERVE ENDINGS and and suck and move and clench their little fists. SELFISH
  • Just because it is herbal, does not mean it is safe. There are several ways of doing it, such as with blue cohosh and pennyroyal -- but if you are not VERY CAUTIOUS with these plants they can cause lots of damage and even death (painful, too). Also, I am not sure about whether it would work too well at that stage of pregnancy. That said, if you still consider doing it, this is probably the most comprehensive guide on it I have seen online, it can tell you more than I can: http://www.sisterzeus.com/List.htm
  • I THINK THAT ABORTION BECAUSE IF U DONT WANT KIDS U SHOULD BE MORE CARFUL THE ONLY REASON WHY I SAY THIS IS BECAUSE I JUST HAD A MISCARRIAGE ME AND MY HUSBEN TRIED FOR 2YR AND I LOST THE BABY SO U NEED THINK ABOUT IT BETTER
  • Why did you wait SO LONG?! The baby already knows your voice, can open and close his or her hands, is about to suck his or her thumb....if you didn't want a child perhaps you should have thought about that before you engaged in unsafe sex! Stopping the heart of a baby that already loves you is not an answer to your blatant ignorance.
  • Please reconsider! Women with a history of abortion have higher rates of anxiety (34% higher), depression (37%), alcohol use/misuse (110%), marijuana use (230%), and suicidal behavior (155%), compared to those who have not had an abortion. Praying for you.
  • Too bad your mother didn't abort you. Than allowing other children to have a chance at life.
