  • I promised you links: http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/2346745 and http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/2346789 Interesting. I have asked AB to inform law enforcement with IP address, date and time. NOTE: AB has removed the threatening answers. The jist may be seen at http://www.answerbag.com/profile/?id=299510 and the answers in the screenshots:
  • I checked your links, but I cant see any answers.
  • It looks as if they've been deleted, but some people are just horrible. You should also report this in feedback. Harassment has been an issue on AB, so its nothing new, but sometimes I can't believe some people.
  • I have screenshots of the answers, but I think I will await answers from AB staff.
  • Let it go.
  • Let me know when you post them. But to answer your question, I have never had that happen yet, but here where I live we passed internet harassement laws.
  • It appears that AB moved quickly and got rid of that jerk. Probably just one of the usual juvenile trolls again...I flagged and sent feedback on all of his Q&A as well.
  • No, Freddy..not yet. But unfortunately there are/have been some very sick people here who seem to delight in doing vile, venal and evil things to others..why, I have no idea. Perhaps they are so jaded and so empty of human kindness that is the only way they feel "alive"! It is sad, but it is true and one must be on guard because sometimes they cloak themselves in guises that will fool you..trick you into thinking they are helpful, friendly and kind..all the more to make you let down your guard so that their attacks can be that much more devastating! :(
  • I haven't yet. IMO belligerent bigotry is a whole level worse than anonymous downrating.
  • Not on here, be I recieved death threats from other websites, like MySpace and YouTube. On here, I only got bigotry on my questions.
  • No, and I'm glad!
  • I've never had one, but it looks like AB has acted pretty fast. I've only gotten some rudeness and bigotry on here, but for the most part, people are pretty open minded. And you should report them on feedback.
  • Fortunately not. But I saw the screen shots and it appalls (sp?) that people still think that. They're.... I'm good with words (apparently) but even I don't know how to describe them.
  • Wow! anybody who talks like that guy does, has a huge problem! I am sure that "God" would just love that guy "standing up" for him.. sick MF
  • That was horrible. No I never have received anything like that and wouldn't want to. Let the AB staff take care of it and forget about him. There is still a lot of good people here to interact with.
  • Not quite yet, but I'm incredibly insulted about that.
  • Dude. I entirely dissaprove of what this person said, he is sick and provides a horrible image of christianity. This is going to sound horrible. I dont care if you DR it or whatever, but honestly if you ask questions like that you are just asking for wing nuts like that to make such attacks on you. Here; this was your question. "I was baptised christian. At 13 I discovered to my horror I was gay. I was taught that homosexuality was sinful. I dropped christianity like the hot brick it is because of that. Got any advice for me?" Your question belittles huge issues with sarcasm when you use the phrase "discoverd to my horror". You make a huge general statement that is greatly offensive to millions of people when you say "like the hot brick it is" you just told millions of people what they place their hope in is shit, literaly. You may not of wanted to get that kind of response but you were definately looking for a negative response from someone, you can see that in the question itself. I can be really mean, Im not gonna lie. The main reason this should not of happend is because your question should of been flagged as nonsense before anybody answerd it. I will kindly show you the idea behind your question. There is 2 parts: (part one, really offensive statement to draw attention to myself, and my lifestyle and to pose my own opinion)(part two, Justify this garbage by asking for advice) What kind of advice were you looking for may I ask? What does that advice have to do with christianity being a hot brick? Why on earth was christianity even mentioned in your question when it had nothing to do with the question itself? Then when its all said and done you decide to make another example of yourself and this persone by asking this question. I know that guy should have never said the things he did, it was WRONG WRONG WRONG. I just want you to know you provoked him, and if he is a AB user who created a new account you have prolly provoked him on many occasions.
  • Not on AB, no, but I have elsewhere. It's the internet, just realize that it's some idiot on the other end and you'll be happier about it. If you get worked up over it, then that person has won the battle so-to-speak.
  • What was the question & answer that drove an idiot to send you these links?
  • No and I find that incredibly offensive that anyone would ever stoop to such a level. Sorry to hear about this. :(
  • ROFL - now that is funny. You should have provoked this person for a bit and it would have been increasingly entertaining......great stuff.
  • I haven't, they must have nothing good in their life to want to wish that on someone.
  • I've been threatened, but I don't really pay enough attention to that sort of thing to notice (or care) if any of them were specific death threats. And anyways, to put a more positive spin on all this, anyone who expresses even semi-controversial opinions strongly enough is bound to attract death threats. I take them as compliments.
  • not a one. Hopefully it stays that way.
  • I never got one and am glad of that. I do feel a lot of sympathy for you and hope you never get anymore. Freddy I just read your two screen shots. Don't let those jerks get to you. It was most likely some pathetic user setting up a sock puppet account in order to troll upon you. You're better than those lowly sorts of people.
  • Wow, that was horrible. I am sorry you had to meet such a mean rotten person.
