  • makes sense to me
  • The people who don't know where their caps lock key is of course find this surprising.
  • No there was a related question a few minutes ago where this was my feeling but I chose not to respond. Its a little bit like questions along the lines of "I would like the sky to be green, like a lime - do you think it will be lime green when I wake up tomorrow? I get a bit frustrated by this random and meaningless noise and may well quit AB soon becuase of its predominance.
  • nope-like you're in the country illegally-you get caught-you get sent back. not that complicated
  • sounds logical. like "you drive fast under the influence of liquor...you get caught and your car is taken from you." logical.
  • LOL--I don't understand why a lot of people have trouble comprehending this.
  • You are right. BUT, I am as anti drug as you can get & I failed a drug test because of my seizure medicine. But other than that, people are MORONS
  • now depends what you mean by fail...95% of the drug test carried out are crap...why because they DO NOT tell if the person is under the influence of drugs at all ..they just say there is drugs in ones system ...a bloody big difference .. you can have say for instance pot in your system 5 days after you have smoked it ...are you under the influence ...not on your bloody life!!, sorry but this shits me to tears if they are fair dinkum about it they would make the tests fair and proper and at this moment in time most are not
  • I could think of 104 ways to pass that test (I worked in a lab). But, In my experience I have learned that not doing drugs is the easiest and sure most way to getting a A.
  • Nope, you've got it bang on. :-)
  • Yes, you are. Sound's like you're straight-edge, Which isn't bad. But you lack perspective. Just like all religions aren't totally right, the government and other organizations are equally fallible. It is true that using drugs can impair ones ability. Obviously. However, social drinkers and marijuana smokers should not be placed in the same category as heroin and crack/cocaine abusers. I am high right now. Very high. Right now I can articulate perfectly(in person and in writing). At this moment(while under the influence of high-potency marijuana), I am fully capable of driving normally, representing myself in court, and operating heavy machinery. Obviously not everyone can hang as such. On that note, I don't entirely oppose pre-employment drug testing. However, I consider ANY form of MANDATORY drug testing by any organization or agency, government or otherwise(even if the individual is on probation or parole) to be an invasion of body and privacy. Mandatory submission of bodily fluids is completely unacceptable except when certain crimes are being investigated. We all know that drug testing has always been done primarily for marijuana. And most of the "facts" being told to American children about marijuana are blatant lies... Cannabis does not kill brain cells nor does it make them go 'dormant'. Using cannabis can cause temporary impairments in short-term memory and what's called 'executive brain functions', the ability to learn new information or engage in complex manipulation of learned material. These effects disappear as the drug effects wear off. Long term, chronic cannabis users themselves complain of problems with memory, concentration, loss of motivation, paranoia, depression, dependence and lethargy. However there is no convincing evidence that heavy long-term marijuana use permanently impairs memory or other cognitive functions. source: House of Lords Select Committee on Science and Technology. • Just don't eat the poppy-seed bagle. Resist temptation!
  • Depends on the drug. Most drugs are out of your system in a few days. Cannabis is almost the only entheogen that stays in your system for very long because it is fat-soluble as opposed to water-soluble.
  • play the game take the pain
  • okay, if you do drugs, it doesn't mean you fail a drug test. it depends on what you use, how much you use it, and when your drug test is compared to those two things. i smoke pot. i'm in rehab and i've passed all my drug tests. you just gotta be smarter than the system. sounds like your pretty anti-drug. maybe you should be drug free and quit hating on those of us that like a little peace of mind. and chances are, you're against drugs because you haven't experienced them or had a bad experience with the. drugs do ruin lives though, but only if you let them.
  • Not cynical at all! You do drugs. You fail a drug test. You're the A-grade candidate who's spent 8 weeks interviewing for the job. The employer now has to go out and recruit B-grade candidate over a period of another 8 weeks. B-grade candidate does drugs also. Fails the screen. The employer now has to go out and recruit C-grade candidate over a period of another 8 weeks. Only this time, there are vacations and meeting so it actually takes 12 weeks... C-grade candidate does drugs also. Fails the screen. The employer now has to go out and recruit some dud off the sidewalk who only can afford to drink alcohol and there's no screening for that. This D-grade candidate makes it through the door nearly a year after the project was to start. No one gets along with D-grade candidate and D-grade candidate doesn't know the job at all, so there's training involved. The client comes in to see what progress is made 1 year and 6 mos after the initial date. Nothing is even started and D-grade candidate insults the client. The project is pulled, but D-grade candidate has a brother who is an attorney they wiggle through a lawsuit that ends up costing the employer several million dollars. AND YOU WANT TO KNOW WHY WE HAVE A PROBLEM WITH OUR ECONOMY???????
  • way...There are a number of medications that are over the counter that have potential and do cause false positives. I just posted a Q as a friend used in my home and i am now testing positive and i dont use drugs- i cant control her actions but i can control who is around me so i threw her out but too little too late..unless it happens to you it is hard to imagine it..but oh yes, the tests often dont catch the real users-they know how to not get caught-its us regular folks who get jammed as we take these tests in complete faith.
  • oh contraire! the real trick is to do drugs and still pass drug tests!
  • Well not exactly, I would deduce that anyone planning on looking for employment would know if there was gonna be a drug test and take proper steps to ensure they passed either by abstaining from drugs until after the test and taking some cleansers. There are in fact some drinks that can be purchased that WILL hide drugs and allow one a window of about 2 hours where they can pass a drug test. I'm neither for or against drugs, I think everyone has their reasons and many might argue what one man considers a drug another might not, not to mention all the sanctioned drugs our governments allow people to put in them under the umbrella of "medicine" but that's another argument. But I would think anyone would be smart enough to do the research and not just go into a drug test and hope that a miracle will happen and they will pass if they did drugs the day before the test.
  • cause, effect. simple.
  • I don't feel sorry for people who fail drug test. I get infuriorated to think that there are so many methods now a days that people can use to beat a drug test. I often wonder if my nurses or doctors or school teachers are on drugs. IT's scary. They don't understand that eventually they will hurt themselves or someone else and that is something that will not change. I think if they are so irresposible they have to cheat a drug test, they don't need the job. I don't care if you use just 1 day a week, it lowers performance and productivity and you are risking your life and everyone else's. So, when someone ask "how can I beat a drug test". I think "I hope you don't". That may make me sound bad but there are too many people who don't do drugs that qualify for and need jobs. decide what's more important.
  • ive done drugs and passed my drug tests for the most part, so im kinda finding it hard to understand that ur 100% certain THAT u WILL FAIL if you use!! and to put alil more of a light on the subject, there are more addicts than non addicts in america. addicion is not like a disease it is a disease.
  • Everyone's looking for that magic drink or vitamin that will get them clean in a day and "flush" out their system. It's not going to happen but they can dream..
  • Considering all the people who have gotten away with it, it's obviously not that cut and dried. Barry Bonds never tested positive for steroids.
  • You can be cynical all you want about it. It's not going to stop idiots from asking how to get away with it. Kinda like all those who have had sex, missed a period, and wonder if they're pregnant. You had sex... You MAY be pregnant... Is THAT hard to understand? LOL
  • No. Stop doing illegal drugs and you will not fail, lose your job or get your probation revoked. Stop being idiots.
  • The trick is to do drugs and PASS the drug test - to eat your cake and have it too...
  • I feel the same way as you do,simple for the non user to understand, impossible for the fool who thinks they are going to 'get away with it'...:(
  • i want to say that i hope you never have to find out the truth behind testing but i would be telling a lie you people are especially the ones who deserve it. are you going to tell that 65 year old lady she cant get life insurance because she has to be guilty-testing positive for umm say amphetamines..and fyi there are a couple of ways to find out and i fought it and won. You guys really arent worth arguing with nor do i wish to educate you on the reality of such things. You really didnt answer my question but thank you anyhow..
  • I'm suprised at the sheer number of drug addicts that just can't understand this.
  • and yes you are cynical- let me guess..you're probably upset that Obama got elected too right? Maybe you are a bible thumper- because usually those are the people who just think they are right and everyone else is well ..wrong..am i being too cynical about this?
  • Food for thought: People who are using drugs will get away with taking these tests because they prepare themselves in whatever manner necessary. Drug test prep kits appear to be a huge industry. People who do not use drugs should feel confident that the test they take will be correct in showing this..but this isn't always the case..and it isn't a rare situation. Cynicism is sometimes a necessary response for emotional survival. People on drugs do enough damage that many businesses understandably want to take steps to prevent problems..we all just need to know that the results in the tests arent set in stone and someone who contests it day after day is probably innocent as druggies wont stay around to fight as they would rather go elsewhere and be able to use their drugs..
  • Hell yeah. I love to hear folks asking questions about how long drugs stay in their system because they have a piss test tomorrow. Funny shit. But we need to hand over $15 an hour for someone to make my fries.
