  • I'd say thats about right. Fun isnt it?!?
  • No, I think the childlike behavior is just an effect of it. I think people drink because it gives them a way to temporarily shrug off the stresses and anxieties of daily life. (I really sound like I'm full of sh*t, don't I? LOL)
  • I have to tell you... I've only been drunk (pukeing drunk) twice in my life and both times I so needed it. All the intense stress can get at you and really break you down. The only real relief is 30 days of vacation (no work) or a good bout with the bottle. Most people can't get 30 days off from work. That doesn't mean that I take risks. If I were to do it I'd be in control (no driving - wrong time, wrong place). I hardly ever drink alcohol. The fact is that I'd been so "on the brink" but what an unbelievable relaxing feeling afterward. I'm not proposing that everyone go out and get plastered everynight either. That would make you useless. I didn't behave like a kid anyway.
  • People drink alcohol for a range of reasons and sometimes these reasons change. Here is a list of some of the most common reasons people quote for drinking: It helps them to sleep It helps reduce anxiety To deal with stress To deal with panic attacks Because they are depressed Dependant on it To counter-act withdrawal symptoms From research conducted in the Netherlands among 15 to 25 year-olds, the following answers came up: * Sociability (71%) * Like the taste (51%) * Feel at ease (12%) * Get intoxicated (6%) * Get drunk (2%) * Because everybody does it (6%) * To forget problems (0%)
  • I have to say, after being brought up as a very restricted jehovah's witness , getting drunk is the best thing i have ever come across, it gives you such a freedom, and makes me feel like the fun person i want to be, not the suffocated JW that i was. It's total release for me, I feel normal , thoroughly recommend it from one professional to another. x
  • seems like it, i dont drink
