My wife and I have the beer. We have Campbell's Cheese Soup. I want beer cheese soup. Is it really just adding one to the other and boiling, or is there more to it? I honestly don't know!

It can be as simple or complicated as you like. Most cheese soup recipes that include beer are made from scratch, such as one from Emeril Lagase which can be found at: http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/recipe/0,,FOOD_9936_8728,00.html As far as using canned soup, I would use the beer in place of water.

Yeah, there is more to it! I have never made it with canned soup because canned soup is usually very mild and Beer Cheese soup is made with cheddar cheese. I use chicken stock, a packet of onion soup, milk, shredded cheese and half a bottle of beer as the base. There are TONS of good recipes online. I like www.cooks.com Just Google Beer Cheese Soup recipe. I can tell you, it requires onions and celery and wostershire sauce (the Woster. sauce is crucial).
