Why is it every time I express a positive opinion of Hillary Clinton, I get downrated? Are the right-wing hatemongers that intolerant of opposing views? Or is it Obama-backers that want to restrict free speech?

I believe that down raters exist on every side of political questions. Religious questions as well for that matter.

I think some people just troll for Hillary questions and DR anyone who likes her. It's amazing how intimidated the far right extremists are by her. Makes me think she really will be the most viable candidate in the general election.

Unless you ask questions like, "CLINTON IS TEH WINRAR AMIRITE? LOL ALL OTHER PEEPS SUX" it's probably because they're feeble minded trolls. AB mirrors society in that people take political and religious talks far too seriously, and tend to get offended by views they don't agree with. You just have to take the good with the bad, the majority of people here don't downrate (you probably get a lot of -1s more than anything else), just the people trolling and looking for a flame war.

That's why I avoid political, religious and LGBT questions as much as possible. It seems we are not allowed to have opinions about them.

I do not like Hillary and I get downrated all the time for expressing it. I do not downrate people for their political, religious (or non), or sexual preferences. In fact I don't downrate at all any more.

If you can, try not to take those DRs personally (I know; it's difficult not to). For one thing, those DRings are taking NO points from you (according to AB Staff). For another, some people erroneously rate questions on their LIKES or DISLIKES, not on whether or not it was 'helpful' (helpful is the premise on which Answerbag was founded). So see? Right away they are in the wrong. And you are in the right, in regard to expressing your opinion here. And, thirdly, telling someone to 'get over it' is just another catch phrase, too readily expressed and does nothing to address the questions. For the question you asked, here's a well-earned +5. I'd give you more (you earned it), but that's all I am allowed to give at this time. *SMILES*

because people have different opinions,but don't know how to express them correctly. I for one think Hillary Clinton is the worst of the 3 bad choices we have for president, but I wouldn't downrate you for having an opinion.

It's just another example of American political confusion. In any other country, her record would be one of a moderate conservative. You're not being 'left wing' voting for her, you're condemning several million Iranians to death. Vote for Ralph Nader if you want to be radical.

Well I am in France and I am From u.k. I think Hillary is terrific .Brave intelligent and even if she fibs or forgets ocasionally ,she is much more real than Obama,who can say that his wife hates Hillary so she was not included .No he said 'Shell, not 'my wife'. He has no real spine,a very superficial charm which is a bit tacky now ,because he is tacky .I would love to see a black person in the White House ,but someone with metal and morality .No I am not Right wing ,nor left ,but independent of both . If Obama is elected it will be the end of U.S A. In Europe respect for wisdom is important and if he was not so narcissistic Obama would have let Hillary be President ,he V.P. and when he had more experience,she would I am certain helped him to win in the next election . I noted that on the subject of aborton ,she felt a restriction on time would be good but not he .It and other things like that will I hope lose him his arrogance and his election . PS. in France abortion limit is 12 wks . I used to be left wing but now they want not to make any effort and have no values at all ,here in France.
