sometimes when your head is buzzing with bills and all other daily drama, the place you suggesting seems ideal. I can lock myself away and carry on with my art work and writing in peace. I have tried that once in cornwall, works wonders.

I have one in Maine, thanks to a grandfather with foresight. I hide out there every September without fail. Everyone should have one -- as long as their's is not near mine.

That sounds great at first, but I'm afraid all the solitude would be depressing after a while. If I could have pets, then I might be OK for a while.

In have just left a beautiful house like that, surrounded by trees and fields with horses out back and foxes to feed. I loved it.

LOL!! Sounds like where I've always lived, both in CA for 32 years and now here in upstate New York LOL!!! We have always lived far from most people. If we could I'm sure we would jump at the chance to live along some small lake up in the Yukon or in the NWT. We love nature:-)
