  • Hardly an event for the papers.
  • I don't see the big deal about it..as long as it isn't one of those ruff and tumble bars where she could get hurt, but I see nothing wrong with a woman walking into a club alone to have a drink.. Edit: As long as her drink never leaves her hand or her sight.

It's "rough and tumble", not "ruff and tumble". Please don't confuse unrelated words just because they are pronounced alike.
    • Bootsiebaby
      Exactly, Keble. :)
  • Me scared.
  • I thought they already did this.
    • Nosmo King
Of course they do, and good for them!
    • Bootsiebaby
      Thank you, Nosmo. :)
  • As long as it's safe, it's fine with me.
  • Not in gay bars can men do that.
  • No problem, this is the 21st century. She has to watch out for Neanderthals though. +5

      Excellent answer! :)
  • There's no reason why women can't do it. It's less common, but that may be because women (more than men) are expected to be social creatures, so they might be embarrassed about being seen alone. Nevertheless, if a woman wants to go into a bar for a drink on her own, then there's nothing wrong with that.

      Thank you, lonelydragon. :)
  • i think nothing!! they can and they do, do the same O_O
  • The only reason i don't is because someone has to drive and it ain't going to be me ;-)
  • I see nothing wrong with a woman going to have a drink by herself.
  • Strange question. Do you imagine somehow we are not human as well? I have been going to bars "on there own" for almost 45 years now and even when I was underage. And I was not the only woman especially at friendly neighborhood hanging out bars. Why does this require comment? Rough men's bars and biker bars I would not go in because I would not feel welcome or comfortable but I know some women who go who are OK with all that. Are you so shocked? Where have you been the last fifty or more years?
  • Pre 1940s many bars (saloons), had separate enhances for women and families. Thus was true when food was served in the back part of the bar. In NYC you can see the side door at PJ Clark's, at 55th and Third. The bar was established in 1884 and thus had a Family entrance. The bar is up front and the restaurant behind. Of course, today it is merely an entrance, it is no longer a designated woman's entrance. Stop in for a drink and a hamburger and you'll become part of history. .
  • No such phrase as "on there own".
  • Women can do whatever they like. Don't expect me to be chauvinistic towards them just because I have a penis, I happen to be a Pisces.
  • I'll walk into a bar on my own if I want to, who is going to stop me? Besides, it's better than using "there" as a substitute for "their". Just because two unrelated words are pronounced alike, that does NOT make them interchangeable.
  • I never willingly walk into Bars or any other hard objects unless I'm drunk....I might be blonde ....but I'm not that stupid ....:)p
