Guys for some reason are determined to get what they can't have. They don't want to feel "weak."

You know, my boyfriend is exactly the same!! When we are together, he doesn't appreciate me. Then we break up and 2 months later, suddenly he appreciates what we had a realises how 'special' I am and how much he loves me and can't live without me!! What a joke!! But, I do love him and so it's a hard habit to break- and he tries sooooo hard to get me back by doing everything he should have done when we were together!! I am starting to question if it is about checking out what else is out there (maybe even sleeping with someone else- which has happened at least once during one of our break ups), but not wanting to cheat, so he breaks up with me first- what do you think?? We are both 30 and perhaps he is scared of committment and have been together for 3 years now- on/off..
