I wish. Sadly, no. I'm as damaged as I look.
-
My english teacher says that what you see in the mirror isn't really you. It's a view of what you want to see of yourself reflected..
-
Funhouse mirrors do.
-
depends on what kind of mirror, ive got a mirror that makes me look like im 530 lbs and ive got another that looks like im 25 lbs, and there is this one that i look in every morning and its like what the hell is that? lol
-
I suppose if you have only ever seen yourself in a mirror or a photograph , you have never really seen yourself, just a flipped around version of yourself...in that context, they do lie + :o)
-
Your teacher smokes dope. The mirror reflects *EXACTLY how other perceive you. If you don't like it, do something about it. For example, diet (to a point), muscle tone, hair style, clothing, teeth, makeup, get a tan (white folks)... It's your body, take charge. * (pretty darn close to)

i guess in a way the teacher is right, anorexics, for example, when they look in the mirror see someone underweight gross and ugly, even though they can be dangerously overweight... someone with a huge ego can see a stud in the mirror, and see something different to what the world sees... i guess it depends on the person looking in the mirror and what thier eyes see, and what their mind takes in.
-
Simple enough to determine. Take a picture and compare, or have someone else look in a mirror and compare.
-
yes they can if you look at them backwards, if you can, but how will you ever know
-
Nope. Remember, that one mirror that told the queen Snow White was fairer than she? Well, that mirror wasn't even afraid of the queen. He kept his integrity and told the truth.
-
No and neither do cameras...I hate them both.
-
i think they like to trick you! have you ever gone and tried on cloths at a shop, looked in the mirror, and thought, hey, i look really thin in this... went home, and the next time you wore it, and looked in a mirror at home, you thought, gee, i don't remember it like this!! :)
-
No,but scales do.
-
Yeah, they do. Have you ever looked into fun house mirrors?
-
for my sake i certainly hope so
-
Unfortunately for me it does not. I wish it would though!
-
All the time. Just the fact that they show you in reverse is a lie in your mind:-)
-
Mirrors dont lie.....or should they ?
-
Yeah, I'm hoping so :)
-
All the time
-
No, never. But your self-image, the one that you want to see, is the one that is reflected back. Take a picture and then compare the two.
-
Yes. Aside from showing you in reverse, the reflected image can be distorted in many ways (fat or thin, tall or short) and some can also reflect a slightly blurry image, having the same effect of "soft focus" or air-brushing - reducing wrinkles and small "imperfections" - while others can magnify and exagerate them.
-
They lie even more often than it`s allowed!!!
