-

-
In less than 2 years. I am going to enjoy being on this side of the hump a little longer.
-
I don't consider myself cranky, but I am still pretty young. I actually met an elderly woman once who was either 75 or 85 at the time. I can't remember exactly. She is one of the least cranky people I have ever known. She even admitted her age. She made a lasting impression by defying the old age stereotype and I still respect her, even though I forget her name. Not all people over 50 are cranky. :)
-
I'm a level one cranky- cantankerous. - but I am working hard to get to your level. Who knew getting older would be this much fun?
-
buxtonite, I live to be cranky. But I call it my "mean gene". I am "the Meanest Girl Alive" It is part of my undeniable charm, damnit.
-
ha Im 18 Im not old but I for sure have "cranky" days :P
-
I'm 50, running a personal heating system, not sure what might happen or might not happen..... Yeah. I'm cranky. Welcome to MANopause.
-
I am almost 55, and I am no more cranky than anyone else I know.
-
oh, I have my moments. as I get older, they seem to come more frequently (I'll be 45 in April). But, it helps that I have a younger (35) s/o to keep me in check when I start "acting up." LOL!
-
I believe I'm cranky when I have to be. Sometimes just being polite & demur doesn't get the right attention. Ergo, my self-rating would be 2% cranky, 98% nice. Welcome to my world, a 1 in 50 chance you will get your head bit off. {;-{D}
-
No, I am a cranky young man!
-
I'm in my 30s, but I am practicing yelling "get off my lawn", so when the day comes I am prepared. For now I can scrape by with PMS.

-
I am cranky but Im only 36 and I have my moments.
-
Not old, but yes. I may as well be the stereotypical, cranky, old man who sits on his porch and complains about everything.
-
I am the Queen of Cranky old women. just ask my husband.
-
Oh I'm cranky. In fact, I'm a little bit crotchety as well. LOL!
-
I will never be cranky, except for exceptions. Not as a rule, only for short periods of time when someone is poking me in the ribs, so to speak.
-
No im still quite young and upbeat personalitt
-
i am 26 and always cranky, age has nothing to do with it .
-
do i have to be 50? ;)
-
G'day Buxtonite, Thank you for your question. I am 45 so I have five years to go. I have 30 years to go before I am a silly old bugger. Regards
-
No i am not a old women but not mean to talk bad about you ok?
-
My parents are in their early 50s and I can honestly say cranky is "normal".
-
I think that some "cranky old women" are quite fun; but, not really that cranky! I think that "cranky" just neans "over boring stuff". I am probably more like Grace Kelly or Katherine Hepburn; or a mix of the two!
-
Cranky young woman. :-)
-
There's a TV program in the UK called Grumpy Old Men and features people like Rick Wakeman (the rock musician with Yes) commenting on subjects that annoy them these days. Sadly I find myself agreeing with most of what they say.
-
Lucy in Peanuts, "The cranky young girl of today is the harping crone of the future!"
-

-
WHO YOU CALLIN A BITCH?

I am very cranky and am only 42. I have no idea what my excuse is.

I'm 35 and I fit the description.
-
Not yet, but I look forward to it. They seem to have a real good time when they are nit picking about the $.75 cent breakfast buffet.
-
Nah...Just give me my reese's and no one gets hurt. You hear me?
-
I've ALWAYS been cranky. I guess being 50 makes it more acceptable, huh?
-
Age has nothing to do with it...there's alot in the average person's day/life to be cranky about. The important thing is to remember that there's a bunch of things to be happy about too...perspective is key.
-
Nope. I am a happy, well adjusted person for the next 2 months. Then I turn 40 and I will officially be a cranky old woman. :) Gotta enjoy the last 2 months of my 30s eh??
-
im 19 and cranky.
-
At 18, I've been called cranky quite a few times, but that's usually when I'm hungry or tired... But I'm naturally good-natured, and I find it hard to be cranky...
-
no 50 and love life, keep it fun, work hard, play hard
-
I am starting to get impatient,a little moody....yeah I qualify for cranky.
-
I'm a cranky old man too..The experts say after 50 our frontal lobe starts to shrink and makes us this way while the prostate gets bigger.lol
-
Not yet, less than 2 years to go though.
-
Well not necessarily cranky but bitchy...I think that better describes it. I am working out and trying to eat right and be healthy which makes me full really good but then I have kids and grandkids nipping at my ankles always needing me to pick somebody up or drop somebody off or get diapers, change diapers, ect ect...you get the picture. I seem to be doing more in one day than I use to do in 2 days plus I work full time so all of this combined seems to be taking a toll. On top of the fact I had back surgery last summer and still am recovering in quite a few ways from that. I have always said I am not going to act old like my mom but I swear I feel old...LOL
-
What's cranky?
-
I think you have to find some internal reason to live and not be bothersome/cranky. People were never meant to live this long. Whey you were young, everything was fascinating. When you are older, you are wiser and smarter, but it takes the edge off of fascination.
-
Well not officially for about 20 years but I can be pretty cranky.
-
VERY
-
My gran is in her 50s. and shes cranky. she just does gardening to be less cranky
-
Well, I'm in my mid-40's but I have been feeling very cranky in the last month or so. I blame winter.
-
I am only 16 and I am already a cranky old man, because the more people want you to die the longer you will live.
-
It's ok to be cranky sometimes.
-
If cranky means creative, independent, witty, funny, free, liberated, loving, vulnerable, crazy and alive - then yes! Definitely! And have been for as long as I can remember - and that's pretty long.
-
No, I don't consider myself so. [Resolve my confusion pls; your details and avatar are female - how, then, are you a cranky old man?]
-
No way! Being happy and upbeat is way more fun. Besides, isn't 50 a little young to be 'old'?
-
yup sometimes. Maybe in my 50's I can perfect it! :)
-
No, i'm not. I'm in my 50's and spent the first 40+ years of my life cranky for no good reason. It can wear a body out. Since i've let go of the cranky thing, i'm much happier and feel happier than i have in years. I may be wrong, but i think i can get to 100 being pleasant, tolerated and well-liked most of the time. I'm just sorry i didn't start sooner.
-
I've been cranky from day one.
-
I agree not all older people are cranky...although I have to say I worked in a hardware store and my crankiest old guy came through the line blatanely loaded his depends sound effects and smellorama in effect. , scrunched up his face at me and demanded his senior discount on his 35 cent pipe fitting. I have to say even though the senior discount day was Tuesday and it was Wednesday He got his way. Just goes to show you if you have on demand control of your bodily functions and your cranky the world is your oyster
-
Yes and I am about to be 25, I lost all patience with people at around age 22. LOl!!
-
I was a cranky toddler... and it's been down hill ever since.

Getting there....responding to stupid questions on AB certainly helps (present question excepted)
-
I was a cranky young man but now people think I'm nice.
-
Who told you such stuped thing? You don`t live in 19-th centure when a person of 30 years old was called a very old person. You are 50, it means that you know much, have an experience, know what it is better not to do, you understand what real value of life is.But your heart is young and you can feel everything deeper than when you were younger.I hope you are healthy and will not stop carring about your health because you should be able bodied to enjoy life!!!Be happy and don`t complain about your age, please!!!
-
Oh, that's so funny. I'm actually looking forward to becoming a cranky old man one day. It's the best part of growing old. Enjoy!

You are not old, just over the hill. 65 you're old.

-
I'm only 29, but I still consider myself a cranky old man sometimes. Andy can definitely back me up on this one... including the fact that I hate teenagers, shake my fist at bad drivers and other things that annoy me, and occasionally just go on rants about the irritating minutae of everyday life.
-
I'm in my 40's and I hope I'm not cranky, but I do have a pretty low tolerance for BS.
