  • Im pretty sure they can. If you have dirt, water, and lots of love, Im sure that they will be able to grow. XD
  • Not very well. You can grow them in a container, like a huge panting bed, but you do need deep soil, enough for the length of the type of carrot you are growing. But you can grow the tops for a lovely houseplant by putting in the tops in the dirt :-)
  • Last summer my hubby grew them in 2ltr plastic coke bottles and they came out great..
  • There is a variety of carrot called "Parisian Round" or "Thumbelina" that is very suited to container growing due to it's round shape. It also doesn't take up much space so you can plant the seeds about 2" apart and still get beautiful little round carrots.I have done this and it worked great.
