  • We do not. Back in the day tooth loss was very common, so these wisdom teeth (which showed up much later in life) would replace those gaps caused by tooth loss. So, since we keep most of our teeth these days (yay for dental hygiene) they mostly just get impacted. Edit: you either stealth-modified the question, or I misread it. But when someone doesn't grow wisdom teeth I'd consider that evolution.
