U can do anything U want. Is it Legal for U to do so??? U need to ck. that out Locally! Why do U want to??? There is no Advantage to the Vehicle either way. If U installed "Headers" for better flow, the "Pipe Size" for the "Cat" just needs to match. Do U have an "Air Pump"??? U may gain 1 HP by removing it??? However, if Ur "Concern" is for the "Environment", the "Cat" uses "Rare Earth Elements" that are POISON!!! People Never have Understood the Words "Catalytic Converter"!!! A "Catalyst" is something added to something else to "Change it". So they add Cadmium, Platinum etc. to change HC & CO into H2SO4??? Wassat U say??? Ever sit behind a new car at a Stop Light on a Cold Morning & watch the "Water" running out of the "Stainless" Exhaust Pipe??? That's H2SO4...SULFURIC ACID!!!! And it is what is Ruining our Highways & Water Systems!!! So if this is Ur "Reason", KUDOS!!! Funny, the EPA has now ordered all "Cats" to be "Discontinued" by 2010... what a "Hard Ass"!!! John
