  • Yes. I had a cat once who helped herself to half a glass of wine when I went to answer the phone...I gave her lots of water and she seemed fine the next day.
  • Not after my dog found out he can't handle straight liquors.
  • My two cats try that too. They even eat the dog's food.
  • hee hee
  • If it was left unattended, my dogs would definitely help themselves. They think they should have whatever food or beverage we have.
  • They try to. My fat cat likes to jump on the table when I'm eating dinner. I just pick him up and put him on the floor. He gets the hint.
  • It's a cat. That's what it does. Two of mine do that also while the other two don't like 'people' food.
  • Their theory is what's theirs is theirs and what's mine is also theirs -- they will eat, drink, paw at and generally take over anything I try to eat or drink.
  • My cat gets a 1 bowl of milk each day, at around lunch time when she comes in side she jumps up on the back of my couch and looks in my coffee cup if its empty she runs in to the kitchen because she knows im about to make a coffee and get the milk out. if its half full she will sit by my feet and if its full she will go away for 40min till ive finished. :)
  • my horse frequently inspects my pockets.. and we have a cat that we have to watch carefully - she far prefers drinking from our cups than the water bowl.
  • My lab stares at me the whole time I eat. It pisses me off. My gf laughs and gives him half of her food.
  • Of course! My cats are not happy unless they have thoroughly investigated, smelled, mouth marked, and potentially tasted anything and everything that happens to be in my general vicinity at any given time. A glass of water is always a favorite. Besides their main water, the staff (the wife and I) are also required to have several small cups of always fresh water strategically placed in predetermined spots around the house. Should one of these little cups be low, not fresh, or *egads!* empty, we get the major stink-eye. :)
  • They did it once. A spray bottle will take care of animals approaching the table while you eat.
  • HAHAHA Yes. I had a dog named Osiris once. He would steal beer off of whatever you had it sitting on take to his food bowl where he would proceed to knock all of his ffod out of his bowl and drop the beer in it so he could drink it. I guess that's what you get for naming your dog after the lord of the underworld. At least he didn't dump it on the floor.
  • no but but my puppy does.
  • Our cat tabs will drink out of any glass that you set on the floor or coffee table she has drank tea (which she seems to like) beer mixed drinks water if its in a cup and we (or anybody who visits) drank out of it and put it down its fair game!
  • yeah, one of our cats loves milk, and we have to pour it and drink it right away or supervise it. he also tries to eat our food and drinks water from pots in the sink... good thing our other cat doesn't like our food or drinks. she drinks out of the toilet. =D
  • My cat Sid wont drink it, but likes to stick his paws in and get fur in it! Damn cat!!!
  • They try to, especially if you turn your back for too long. I will usually let them lick up some gravy or sauce off of my plate AFTER I finish eating. But they like to try and "share" with us if we don't push them away. Once, when we weren't paying attention, a cat we used to have jumped up, grabbed a potato skin and ran off with it like he had a big prize. Another cat I had years ago jumped up, grabbed a chicken bone, and actually flung it across the room. We have a cat now that also likes to lick the "sweat" off of bottles and cans.
  • WELL IF WE DIDNT KNOW THEN WE SURE DO NOW CAUSE YOURS DOES.
  • I have a rabbit so it is a little hard for her to do that. But is you are eating on hte couch she can jump up and try to get your food
  • Yes i have very srange animals especially my cat she loves her booze.
  • Always LOL!!! :):)
  • I have a bird (a sun conure) and he likes to walk down my arm and sit on my finger and help me eat dinner. It depends on what I'm eating as to if I let him eat some of it. But usually he gets a bite anyway. :-)
  • Neither of my cats try to eat my food or drink any of my drinks.
  • Only once!
  • Only to me...lol!!! When my cat Bellarina was little she was upside-down in my glass. She just adores Perrier! :D
  • YES THEY LIKE TO EAT AND DRINK WITH ME IN THE SAME AREA AND TIME AND THEY SHOW ME THEY LIKE MY FOOD OR DRINK. CATS ARE CLEANER THAN ANY OTHER ANIMAL ON EARTH.
  • My cat will lay on the counter(I've told him many times to get down, he just thinks he owns the place) and he will just subtly put his paw in my plate, bowl, cup and try to get a little bit of whatever it is I'm eating or drinking. And when he sees me pull out the milk carton from the fridge he just automatically thinks that's an invitation to hop on the counter and get some for himself. So, I, being the sucker for a cute face, will give him a LITTLE bit, but nooooooo that's not enough for him... Same thing goes for Yogurt. He loves the stuff.
  • Goodness, all the time! My cats drink from the water glass on my nightstand or anything with a wide enough mouth. It's maddening.
  • Yep, my cat used to drink my water all the time and my dog used to sneak up behind me and take a bite out of my hamburger or hotdog. They are no longer with me, but it was those "little things" that make me look back fondly of the times I had with them.
  • yes,I have a pic but its animated and won't upload!
  • I remember being real young and sharing a twinkie with my cat. She'd have a bite, then I'd have a bite and so forth. I thought it was really neat.
