  • No. Irrational numbers ARE real numbers. Real numbers contain all the numbers you could possibly think of.
  • No, they're real. They are just numbers that can't be expressed as a RATIO (thus the word "irrational"). So PI is an example of such a number. There's no fraction you can come up with which evaluates to 3.141259... when considered in its entirety. 22 divided by 7 is close (3.14285), but no matter how much you play with the numerator and denominator, you'll never find two integers which can be used to produce the exact value of PI as a ratio.
  • Irrational are real numbers. 1.33033033033033... is real but not irrational 1.330330033000330000330000033....is real and irrational assuming that the pattern that is established with is number is continued. The first pattern repeats 330 over and over again. The second pattern has one zero than 2 zeros than three zeros and so forth between the 33's.
  • The real numbers are divided into two mutually exclusive sets of numbers: The rationals and the irrationals. Both kinds of numbers are real.
