  • It could be. They may be both males though. Male bunnies will mount another male bunny. The same goes for females...they mount each other also.
  • just like a male dog will try to hump another male dog. animals do that kinda thing.
  • If the one is female, yes, it's enough. However, male bunnies hump each other just as much as females do. It's a dominance thing. It tends to be better to keep bunnies apart, unless you are SURE of their gender!
  • First off, just because two rabbits are the same sex doesn't mean you can keep them together. Rabbits are very territorial and they will could fight and hurt each other. It may be possible to keep them together if they are both spayed or neutered but not unaltered. And the you have to bond them so they learn to like each other. Now, it is possible for two males to mount each other as even does will do it too, as it is a sigh of trying to dominate each other. There's that territorial thing again. Unless one was a doe and the other one humped and then grunted a little and fell over on his side, you don't have a successful mating. So, please keep your rabbits separate no matter what sex or sexes they are. Get them neutered or spayed if you want better, nice, longer living pets.
  • All these answers are great and would do what they have advised you to do. I believe you should alter them, and give them 30 days, than try what I call a bunny date. Thats when you sit in a small area and introduce them with supervision so if they start to fight you can control the situation and not let it get out of hand. Also if you do this have a towel/blanket and a water bottle so if it gets bad you can throw the towel around one or spray water in the face so you don't end up getting scratched really bad or a nice chunk out of your skin. And if that doesn't work, put them in the car, have a friend help, put them in a box and take them for a car ride of their life, I here that always does the trick. Or go to rabbit.org and search bonding rabbits.
