  • In addition to Sean's answer, you seem to be forgetting that the Kings James Version of the Bible was a TRANSLATION of earlier records. The Bible did not come into existence in 1611. Parts of it had been in existence for thousands of years before the KJV was created. In the Book of Mormon, the vast majority of the Biblical quotes come from portions of the Old Testament that were written prior to the departure of Lehi and his family from Jerusalem and the Book of Mormon even explains how they obtained their copy of the scriptures (referred to as the Brass Plates). Those Biblical quotes that date from after this time were delivered by the Savior Himself when He visited the Americas after His resurrection. (If anyone would be able to quote the Biblical passages to them, then I would think that it would be the Son of God.) So, you seem to operating under a false assumption about the source of the Biblical quotes in the Book of Mormon.
  • The Book of Mormon was writing in the early 1800's by Joseph Smith Jr. That is why!
  • 3-29-2017 2 Peter 1:3 "According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:" All things, get it? God had said everything he intended to say, and anything after that can only be a repetition or an expansion of something spoken before. So the BOM is Baloney.
