  • yes and no.
  • Yeah...I vote yes....
  • yes, but im not gonna win this year i was gone half the time left in june, came back today
  • Sure I guess so.
  • No. The higher level people are not on here for the points and giving someone a point reward is just pointless (LMAO, all puns intended). Edit: A better reward would be upping the number of points that person can give and take to one more than the normal amount, but let it show an increase of +5 then +2 or a decrease of -3 then -3 to help keep the anonymousity of the points awarded/removed.
  • Nope. How would we determine that? How would we make sure it's fair? Would it be a most improved, most popular, what? I don't think that's a good idea.
  • Definition of "prolific" producing in large quantities or with great frequency; highly productive: a prolific writer. Who exactly would determine the most "prolific" ABer... and what exactly would "prolific" entail? The most questions? The most answers? The answers and/or questions with the most points? Would we have to award THREE sets of 5,000 points? Nah. I don't see it being a happy occasion. I see a LOT of people crying "Unfair" and the ones who win won't care anyway... The big-wigs here aren't in it for the points.
  • First I have heard of that one.Who came up with that idea. No I do not think it is a great idea. Who is going to make the decision and on what basis would the 'prolific' be made which aspect? I think that it would cause too many problems among members.
  • no!...why?.. because it would cause a huge shit fight , how and what would it be judged on...most answers/questions or most moderation's ... so no
  • my first anniversary is 12-27-07.
  • Yeah, that would be a great competition.
  • I would have to say no. The reason is that we would have the top ABers doing moderations all the time instead of contributing to Q&A.
  • no I don't - I think the most prolific baggers get enough points as it is :)
  • No, and because of several reasons: 1. I was under the impression that our purpose here is to ANSWER OTHER PEOPLE'S QUESTIONS, NOT GATHER POINTS. 2. I do NOT want to see such insightful questions as "Is there a God?" being answered by 2,678,098 "Yes" and 2,098,897 "No"'s. 3. Because I don't wanna live to see the day when ANSWERBAG'S CONSTANT, TOP-TEN QUESTIONS MAIN PAGE SAYS: i. "What are you doing right now?" ii. "What are you thinking right now?" iii. "What time is it where you are?" iv. "Where are you right now?" v. "How are you feeling right now?" vi. "What did you last eat?" vii. "Coke or Pepsi?" viii. "Paris or Britney?" ix. "Backstreet Boys or N*Sync?" x. "[insert some AB USER name here] Has just reached[insert some useless position here]!!!! Who wants to join me in congratulating him/her? LOLX??!!??111" Damn. Just thinking about this makes my blood boil. 4. Because people will be downrating anyone whom they think is competition. And by 'competition', that means EVERYONE. 5. Because having 5000 bonus points means nothing. I mean, seriously, what will you do with 5,000 AnswerBag points? Can you at least buy candy with it? Is it a valid human achievement? Girl: You know it's amazing how Mother Teresa helped hundreds of thousands of poor folk in India! Guy: Oh yeah, well, I'm now the "MOST PROLIFIC ANSWERBAGGER" in Answerbag! You can't beat that, betcha can't! Oh yeah, did I mention I got 5000 points too?" Stupid.
  • No, I don't. The points are overrated on here to begin with, and prolific doesn't say anything about the value of the contributions.
