I wouldnt be offended but i would be curious in why the hell you would name your teddy Mohamed....uhm and i didnt think guys owned teddy bears lol
-
No more than if you named it Jesus or Siddhartha. Both are common names.
-
no, no
-
are you out of your mind. do you how much chaos would...i'm just messing with ya. i wouldn't be offended at all. it's just a name.
-
No and I would not get upset if you named a Teddy bear Jesus either. In fact I think it would be rather nice a child going to sleep with Jesus in their arms close to their heart all the time.
-
No. I can't belive she is being inprisoned for that. A little extreme don't ya think???
-
You could name your Teddy bear: Beelzebub (בעל זבוב, Baal-zvuv, and I would not be offended.
-
It could be worse....can you imagine the stink if it was a pig called Mohamed?
-
No...but there was already problems with mohamed and people taking it to far...so it was kinda a bad thing that she did do that...but it wouldnt offend me
-
Its a teddy bear, a childs toy, anyone that could be offended by such a small thing like that is frankly pathetic.
-
Naa, plenty of people are called Muhammed, it's a frequently used name really *shrugs* As with most things like this, I think that anyone who 'is' offended by that doesn't deserve anyone's time, but alas these people tend to have a habit of going ape-sh*t insane and killing people... Not all of them, but enough that it requires caution.
-
yeah, I'd totally execute you after whipping you after you'd rotted in jail forever. *snort*
-
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! I hope that poor woman is rescued.
-
No, but I am not Islamic. I think if we were more tolerant, she might be afforded a little more tolerance too. Everything has become so political, and they may feel that she was trying to "Make a point" and this would force them to "Make a point" out of her actions. I hope that they are kind and treat her well, letting her go.
-
No, but if you were arrested for it in Sudan, I would honestly be very angry. (Moslem students demonstrated in protest outside of Sudanese Embassy in London yesterday damanding the release of the expat schoolteacher in Sudan.) Yeaa-aa! At last, we're hearing from the good guys...
-
It would depend why you named him Mohammed.....to get some sort of reaction from muslims or you genuinely like the name....
-
No, but I am not a muslim either.
-
The teacher did not name the bear. It was all the children who decided on the name. Why are they blaming the teacher? Would they get upset if their own children named their bear that name?
-
no,mine is teddy jason.
-
Ah...no, no I wouldn't.
-
No, not really. It's not my bear. Name it Sh*thead for all I care.
-
not me, no... but i can sort of see where the problem of this might be... but the whipping and putting into jail might be going too far...
-
Mohamed was a false prophet and it would offend me.
-
No, but if you plan to take it travelling then I suggest you give it a surname, such as 'Ali". I think the official reason some were offended is that they were worried about encouraging idol worship, which sounds fair enough if you say it fast. But given that every second person over there is named "Mohamed" (or however you spell it) anyway, it seems strange that that should be a problem.
-
yes
-
I'm not Muslim. I could care less.
-
nope
-
I'd be offended if you caved into demands not to name you teddy bear Mohammed.
-
Me? No...but it can offend a culture that takes their religion seriously.
-
not a bit.
-
not at all
-
Mohammed is the prophet who teached and teach the humanity how to save itself from hell, and to guaranty an eternal place in heaven. if you realy apreciate this you would never name anything like that, except a human. may god spare us from punishement, if that is his will.
-
Not at all.
-
YES!!!! Why burden such lovable toys with that baggage?
-
Being from Canada will be no defense
-
no, it would not be a mistake, there is no problem with that. But its when you have intentions of making fun of the Prophet Muhammed that is concerning.
-
Only if you give it a turban and set it on fire.
-
You're safe in Canada, you should be concerned if you were in an Arab country, teddy bear Muhammed
-
Its your teddy, call it whatever you want
