Not all Christian faiths celebrate Christmas. The Jehovah's Witnesses are the most notable example of this. They don't celebrate any holiday that is not specifically mentioned in the Bible. Thus, it does not follow that just because a religion is Christian that they celebrate Christmas. On the other hand, yes, we Mormons do celebrate Christmas. It is one of my favorite holidays. This is one of the many areas where I have strong disagreements with the JW's.
  • My stepmom's family is Mormon and we have wonderful Christmas's together. Christmas tree, wreath, big wonderful meal, etc. And we would do a gift exchange drawing every year, because it was a big family. But here's the deal with the drawing, you have to make the gift, you can't just buy it.
  • Yes they do. In fact, they even celebrate it on the same pagan day as most other Christians: December 25.
  • That we do! It is my favorite time of the year. Even though Christmas has become so comercialized. It is the one time of the year when most all people you see out and about are thinking about someone else rather than themselves, most of the time. And I love to hear the different Christmas Carols for the whole month of December. We know Jesus was not born on december 25, but the day is not as important as the event for which we are commorating. whew4
