  • I don't think so, no.
  • I as well as the majority of Americans who voted for him believe so. Remember....he won the popular vote but lost in the electorial college. Bummer huh?
    • OrangeDonRump
That recipe always takes us down Crap Avenue. Bush. The Orange Emperor... Crap Avenue.
  • nope, that would have been Clinton lite. With more blaming the other party for their mistakes
  • I think so...at the very least he is much more articulate.
  • Yes, a far, far better president than George W. Bush.
  • I think so, but we will never know.
  • I would say with all the delay in the final counting of the ballots in Florida. That some out there apparently may have thought so. I can't remember any election that was scrutinized as throughly as that one. But we'll never know, will we?
  • A half retarded penguin would make a better president that Bush
  • It will probably always be a question. But, even Gore doesn't comment on what he might or might not have done differently. Neither does Kerry. It is like speculating about what Kennedy may have done differently than LBJ. Except Kennedy is not around to say. If Gore would have done anything "better", then why hasn't he said so, and said what it would have been? He also said precious little about what he stood for in his campaign. Which is the main reason he lost. And he did lose, folks. His supporters bussed in thousands of people from the Miami area who had never voted before in their life. They told them who to vote for,(not exactly legal) but they forgot to tell them how to vote. Many punched both candidate's name, thus negating their vote. Many voted for Bush, whether they knew it or not. When Gore lost the district, they cried "foul". But, the recount showed Bush had the votes. What is the committee supposed to do? Allow another vote? Sorry, not legal. I am not knocking Gore. I voted for him. But, his campaign was lacking in many areas. It should not have been that close a race. I think it was overconfidence.
  • In no way.
  • There is no doubt in my mind that we would be in much better shape now if Al was president.
  • No idea if he would have been better but I very much doubt he would have been any worse! What has GWB done? Well, ruined the little reputation the US had before 911. Now the US is not respected anywhere in the world (feel free to troll, but it is true, unfortunately). The value of the dollar is as low as I can ever remember it being. Unemployment is high. Crime rate is high. Education is a joke. The list goes on. I doubt he could have been as bad.
  • Not many people would make a worse president than Bush. That being said I HATE Al Gore, and don't think he would have done any better than Bush in most areas.
  • I certainly think so.
  • Would he have turned green if he had become president. I think that you would only have been swapping Bush for a non too convincing actor!
  • Yes! Actually ANY of the candidates would have done far better than George W. Bush.
  • Yes, I pretty much believe so.
  • Oh, for the love of God, are you kidding me? Does this question really need to be asked...or worse, how could you not know the answer? Al Gore could've had slept through the past 7 years and America would have been better off than with Bush being awake for the same time frame...It will take two, three GENERATIONS for our country to recover from the damage that Bush has wrought...
  • My mom could have made a better president. So, yes, Al could have done so quite easily.
  • I think he would have been stronger and far more conservative on foreign policy.
  • my pet rock would've been a better president
  • As bad as Bush has been in some cases, Gore is a nut of huge proportions. I do not think he would have handled 9/11 with any spine, and I think he would keep destroying things economoically with his global warming fairy tales.
  • my ass would have been a better president
  • I didn't like Clinton, so my opinion of Gore was tainted by that administration. However, 9/11 might not have happened if Gore was President because of the strong dislike other countries had for Bush, Sr. I liked Bush, Sr. Bush, Jr. just seems like he wants to prove a point beyond our inital mission. Unfortunely, there's no why to know.
  • He is smarter, more boring, can think for himself, boring, dedicated, boring . . . . . . anyone of the candidates from that election would have been a better president than . . . I think you mean Cheney.
  • Would he have been better? No idea! Would he have been worse? Thats impossible!
  • anyone would have been a better president
  • Al Gore would have moved the country in a very positive direction -- But thanks to the war machine who stole the last two presidential elections we are still living a nightmare -- We are now hated around the world.
  • Anybody would be a better president than Bush
  • I don't think so. I think if Gore were in charge, 9/11 would have been FAR worse than it was, and we'd be giving in to countries like Iran and North Korea.
  • Much better. He is better educated; he understands about the environment; and he would have had a more thoughtful foreign policy. I know many Republicans think that concern for the environment is simply a distraction presented by liberals. But unless we do something about it, the results will be so devastating that the world as we know it will almost close down! Hurricanes and things like that lead to deprivation, and deprivation leads to conflict. And the candidate for Vice Presiden has expressed the notion on numerous occasions that she does not think man has a lot to do with environmental problems.
  • I believe so. Less terror, less pollution
  • A three legged junk yard dog with a bad eye, a stubbed tail and a bad case of the mange would have made a better president than W.
  • Hes another fucken Liar flying around in private jets telling us we make to much CO2 so another lying muppet is all.
  • Maybe. When he wasn't displaying himself to women in his bathrobe.
  • IMHO, yes.
