  • They see in color, and have excellent visual acuity and a wide field of vision (about 270 degrees), which makes sneaking up on them difficult. That is why turkey hunters have to be so careful about what they wear, matching their camo exactly to their terrain, even to leaf pattern because the birds can spot you so easily.
