Some will - particularly the older ones who remember the Cold War. But they're not the type to get in your face about it, they'll just stay away from you. It's illegal to discriminate in job hiring because of national origin - but such discrimination does happen sometimes and it's hard to prove.

My mother grew up in Finland and hated Russia because they took over 1/3 of our family farm. Her faith has helped her overcome that issue. I spent 4.5 months in Russia teaching English in 1999. For a few days, I was hated because I was an American because the Russian Orthodox Church told the people they should go to war against us over the Yugoslavia bombing. I had to stay locked in an elementary school in St. Petersburg for two days, until the news media diffused the situation. Our embassy warned us that we might be killed. Tensions come and go, but the good thing about America is there is a place for everyone who has values that include freedom, capitalism, and Democracy.

There are probably people out there who could do something like that but I think it's silly and wrong. Why hate anyone just for where they are born or who their relatives are. I feel we are all just people trying to do the best we can with the circumstances we are born into. There is no reason to hate anyone for that. I am sure there are some who can. I, however, am not one of them. Some people hate people from other countries when it's actually it's the government they should be 'hating'...or disagreeing with. Of course not! Back in the days of the Soviet Union, American political leaders were at odds with Soviet political leaders over differences in ideology. But the American people and the Russian people never had any reason whatsoever to hate one another.

In the US, anybody is free to love you or hate you, however they please. If someone hates you just because you are Russian, it is every bit as unfair, shallow, prejudiced, and ignorant as someone who loves you just because you are Russian. But they are free to do so. I have had a Russian woman friend since 1974 here in the US. She is witty, fun and smart. I always liked her and still do today. No one in their right mind should hate you because you are Russian.

I suppose some people could as some people could hate others just because of skin color or religion or ethnicity. But those are all wrong reasons to hate someone. People fear and hate what they do not know or what they have been led to believe. As a child I was taught how bad Russians were because of leaders such as Stalin. I am sure other countries have chosen USA leaders to hate and teach their children to hate all because of some leader. Americans have been taught how bad Castro of Cuba is but few know of the great things he did do for his people. I had to move to Canada to learn the truth. Some women are beautiful some other are real dogs, and that it's not always a matter of just natural physical beauty . The answer to your question it's quite simple. People are not hated because they were born in one place or another. People are hated for whatever it is that is not acceptable by others. Hated because the kind of people that come out of that nation and brings ways of life that clash with the host nation. The Russians I know in Russia are quite different from their compatriots in the West. They too dislike those parasites and are indeed quite upset by the awful reputation the are getting. Russia is a very large nation and our nationality is sadly seen as the one that, is exporting most of those parasites, thousands of these women are here now here in the West in a massive scale. Although many men would be as you say, are attracted by them for their pale cold looks and readiness to do anything a man wants to do with them, others like myself in this case, are not atracted by the AT ALL. We are attracted to the dark haired, brown eyed, spirited, proud, flirty but not tarty and definitely not easy South Western European beautiful women that are capable to be a friend as well as a lover and speak their mind rather than just accepting anything a man says for the sake of a roof over their heads and will say not to you when they think you are wrong. I do not like a a partner just for cooking and to looking after my house. I have a fabulous house keeper..... I want a partner that shares her like with me and with whom I share mire, two equals in every respect. Correction!!! The Banya =Sauna was used first by the Finnish, the Russian copied that practise. In any case, by the time the Russian started to use Banyas, centuries had passed since the Greek and Roman times. I have never seen a single bidet in Russian homes.!!! I have seen them only in NON RUSSIAN hotels in Moscow. I have however, seen the filthiest browned-bottom toilets in Russian restaurants and private homes, not to mention the most appalling hygienic condition in hospitals; a total lack of antiseptic use but, plenty of cockroaches. The dirtiest yellowish teeth with thick plaque in anyone's mouth. As for the use of perfume, talk to the staff at the STD department. After the Russians hookers get seen by a doctor, the nurses need to spray the rooms with air fresheners to get rid of the stench. My opinion is based as I told you in my own experience, there is nothing I have seen in Russians in the West, that is appealing to me.
