That is a oxymoron, for all of it tastes like horse urine, and I don't want to ruin my esophagous or teeth by bowing down to a porcelain throne.

The good news is that there is no such thing. Unless of course you broaden the categories and say that FREE beer tastes the best. The beautiful thing about beer is that there are hundreds of styles - and thousands of variations of each style. Once you start pairing beer with seasons (and food, for that matter), you will end up with several beers that are the best tasting "per the circumstance". I'd rather be monkey stomped and peed on than to drink a heavy palated beer like Guiness Draught in the heat of summer. However, in the cold of winter, there are few beers I like better than a Guiness. In the summer, I like Slovakian pilsners, and Australian lagers... I like Mexican ambers and fruity wheat beers. In the fall/winter, I like Bocks, Porters and stouts. The only beer I drink all year round is Busch. And the best beer is free.
-
I drink mainly alcohol free beer. My favorites are Alhambra free and Free Damm.
-
Trappist Westvleteren 12 is the best that I have ever tasted. Rochefort 10 is a close second place. Maybe on a different day or different food, who knows. For everyday, I love Stella Artois.

I've grown up and still live in an Anheuser-Busch town (and I'm an AB contractor), so I'm kind of partial to their products, especially Bud Light. But I also like Sam Adam's Cherry Wheat, Honey Brown, Killian's Red and a few micro brews here and there.
-
Sonnenbrau...had it in Switzerland years ago and it was one of the best I've ever tasted!

no no no no no no no!!!!!!!!!!!! i do realize it's a matter of opinion but all these highly exported beers are all the same!!! try some different styles of beer, belgian dubbels or trippels are a nice way to start off since they are rather complex in the unique yeast strains used at each brewery. There are a ridiculous amount of amazing belgian beers, i personally like them strong, dark, and flavorful with abv usually averaging 10%. Even if you don't want to be ambitious, just go for a US craft brewery, each usually has 6 different types, there will surely be something you like better. To answer another question on his board, beer must be drunken out of a glass if possible, there are glasses designed for each style of beer, you blind your most important initial taste by drinking out of a bottle, your nose! you get absolutely much less flavor if any. Beer also shouldn't be drank ice cold, the only reason the us macros market the coldness is because it hides the real flavor of the beer (ex. coors), which is lacked severely. Usually with most beers cool is the preferred temp but it depends on the brew. if you want to learn more check out beeradvocate.com, it's an awesome beer community with legitmate conversations, these statements above are accepted by the vast majority in the beer world so i'm not special at all i just love good beer, excited to start brewing in the next week. btw, don't fall into corona's marketing trap a. corona is bottled in a clear bottle (allows uv rays to penetrate the hops) b. adding lime to beer????? come on!!! c. playing on the naive tourist with the thought of corona being associated with the beach, as far as exports go it's very low, pretty much the quality of budweiser. d. They charge a premium price for it!!!!!!!!!! it's a fantastic marketing scam but fact is you can buy a high quality brew for the same price. sorry, my rant is over, hahaha.
