The Lift... which my little sister and I attempted for YEARS in the swimming pool. Never pulled it off. Not once.
-
Obviously the famous lift scene... but also, the "I carried a watermelon" line!
-
1) I loaned my copy to a friend and never got it back. 2) I used to be able to play the camp song on my panpipes.
-
My little sister because she used to watch that movie over and over and over again.
-
I think of cross dressers......let me explain...Our high school had a Senior Class Talent Show. The "popular" crowd did a skit from Dirty Dancing, but they switched roles. The girls dressed as guys, and the guys dressed like girls and they danced to "I've Had the Time of My Life". It was stupidly pointless. I think the only reason they did that was so the guys could put on bras. No joke! They actually wore bras during the performance.

A bunch of hobos having a shingding?
-
Patrick Swayze singing....
-
The first thought is how could Patrick Swayze's character, who had to have atleast been in his mid twenties sleep with Baby, who in the movie was only 17 years old.
-
Not again!
-
A friend from college. At the time, it was his favorite movie and his fiancee was living about 400 miles away, and they'd schedule times to watch it simultaneously.
-
No one puts my baby in the corner.... :} ha ha ha
-
"Nobody puts baby in the corner" Practicing in the water for the lift.

-
My mom she just loved that movie.
-
The first time I ever saw it, at a friends house when we were like 11 or 13. I've watched that movie so many times, I can't even count. It's just one of those movies that comes on and you just have to finish watching it even though you know just about every line.. :)
-
I usually start looking for a "barf-bag."
-
Back in the day, the best time to flirt with chicks was after they watched that movie, it was like an aphrodisiac. Thank you Patrick, thank you

-
I have always been a little miss do-good deeds girl with too big of a soft spot for bad guys. They are supposed to turn out good like Swayze, but never did for me. Sniff sniff, boo-hoo.
-
Utter boredom. Sorry, that kind of movie genre isn't my thing.
-
Olivia "Neutron Bomb"--what my dad calls her. Really, I didn't much like the movie.
-
"Now I...'ve had ...the time of my liiiiife....." Seriously that's the first thing I thought of.

-
Ahhhh...the year I turned 13. My parents wouldn't allow me to see it, so I had to do so at a friend's house....lol. I loved it! The songs, Swayze, the dancing, "Nobody puts baby in a corner". The song "Time of my Life" was so popular at school. I'll never forget this movie....
-
Dancing. The story was rubbish but I love anything with dancing in it. Not as good as the dance sequences in Flashdance.
-
Kyra Sedgewick, b/c she's married to Kevin Bacon who starred in Footloose which reminds me of Dirty Dancing.

That girl who's name was Baby. I think that is a pretty dumb name for a young woman.
-
"It's beautiful. It's dancing and it's... dirty." - Rudy (The Ringer)
-
I wonder about how Patrick is doing.
-
It's fine: If you like dance/romance films.
-
No way! Best silly romantic movie ever.
-
Absolutely. Though, it is entertaining.
-
Yes very but I love the Dancing.
-
No, cheesy doesn't even begin to cover it!
-
no way that movie is so good
-
It's a classic! No one puts Dirty Dancing in the corner!
-
Compared to Gone With The Wind? Yes, but it stands pretty strong in it's own genre.
-
Yes, but when its on and I have time, I watch it. I love that movie.
-
Cheesy ... no. Cheesy would have probably made it half-way decent. I found it to be a boring movie; perhaps my infatuation for that "Flashdance" chick left no room for the rest of the 80s dance film flicks in my mind.
-
I got a lot of action thanks to that movie. Thank you Mr. Swayze, thank you.
-
What can I say, I liked it. I like musicals, but don't tell anyone. I also like Grease, and The Rocky Horror Picture show. I also like Jennifer Gray better before she got her nose fixed.
-
Patrick Swayze was actually constructed out of cheese.
-
Very!
-
Personally. . . . .I lo-o-o-o-o-o-oved it! And I always like to play the ending really loudly! But that's just me! Other people may not like it at all!
-
HECK NO!! It's only one of the best movies ever!!! IMHO of course! ;)
-
It's total dorkmeister! But it's also one of those movies that you have to see at least once. Patrick Swayze's most well-known role.
