I have always had a cat around the house when I was a child, but our primary animal was a dog. SInce we were married though, we have had cats, and I am won over completely. They are just as affectionate, eat less and do not have to be walked. I love my Carina. She came to us in a pillow case, rescued by my mother from a dying litter (abandoned by the owners). She is grey tabby with pink (Yes! pink) . tips . She will soon be 15 years old.

Absolutely, we are cat people. Currently we are very sad...we just moved from Riverside to Hemet..one of the many strays whom we fed adopted us and we were planning to bring her with us..on moving day she got spooked what with all the commotion of moving, vacuuming, etcetera..we couldn't find her..we moved on Sunday and Jim went back Monday, Tuesday and will again go back today..he leaves food and water outside our former apartment,but we don't know if she eats it or other strays eat it. We are worried about her. :(

I once raised kittens with kitty formula because their mother died. It was very sad to find her body outside the house. Kittens stalking your hand and pouncing on it are so fun to watch.

Well....I have five and no I am not the crazy old lady with a house full of cats. I really only brought two home. Trixie, a Himalayan that had been locked up in a pet carrier for two days. Pipsqeak, my big yellow (part Maine Coon I think) I got from a friend at work. The other three, well..... Mama Kitty broke into my home and moved herself in. We did try to give her back to her owners, but she wouldn't stay with them. Lil' Bit O Jeffery (don't ask) was a three week old kitten when my beagle Chuck found her in the backyard and Vicous Killer, we call him VK (my son always wanted to name a pet this) followed my son home from the bus stop last October. I even left him out overnight, thinking he would go home, but when I went out to leave for work the next morning he jumped on my car. I left and when I got home 12 hours later...he was crying at my front door. I just couldn't leave him out another night. He goes out every day, but comes home every night. I would have more but my husband threatens to divorce me if I bring anymore home. I love cats.

I love all animals, but really have a soft spot for the older ones. They are often so sweet, mellow, and grateful. We try to adopt seniors whenever we have an "opening" in our home. The love is still as strong, if not stronger.

Yes, cats are the best and so are kittens. I have 2 and I use to have 21. They were all my beautiful mixed breed farm cats. They loved me and I loved them, but I moved into a small town and couldn't keep them all. I brought my favorite 1's. (Trixie and Angel) I love white cats especially! I want one so abd and have had almost every colr except White! Cats rock!

We don't have children, so our cats are our "kids"...we have 5! and the last 3 years, we've made Holiday greetings with all of them in Christmas hats. No, they really didn't like wearing hats, but everyone gets a kick out of it! Here'e the lastest one from Christmas 2007.

Yes. I have two cats that had a stray mom. One is called Christmas (She was born December 23) and the other cat is called Tip. (Also born the same day) Tip was the runt of the litter, and Christmas the first. Christmas is gray, and white, with a cross on her hip, and tip has tips on her ears and is black and white and she also like to eat paper, especially bills. I don't have pictures right now, but they are adorable. One I kept the cutest kitten in the world warm during winter. I couldn't take her into my house because my cats would've torn her up, but I gave her food, water, love every night, and nice blankets. Eventually she found a home with a loving family.

Cats have always held top spot as pets for us. We do own dogs (only Newfs) but we always call ourselves Cat People. Morning till night there are our kitties, making us laugh and smile....okay, so sometimes I want to throttle them for ripping up the upholstery! LOL! I love my kitties:-)

I love all animals and think kittens are adorable but my heart goes out to the old ones, the senior cats who need a home most of all. You can see in their eyes if life has been kind to them and a spirit within them that kittens don't have yet. I have a soft spot for all animals though, young and old.

I think kittens are adorable and of course they have a soft spot in my heart but what really tugs at my heart are the older cats, the senior cats who's eyes you can see a spirit the kittens do not have yet. The older cats who have had many years behind them , you can see it in their eyes if life has been kind to them or not. I always feel more strongly when I see an aging cat, as I said he has that spirit that kittens are too young to have. I do however have a soft spot for kittens. All animals, young and old.

I have a soft heart for animals and I tend to rescue them when I don't have the means to help them. Well now I'll tell you a story and you see what you think...lol First lets preface with I'M ALLERGIC TO CATS. About 11 weeks ago my daughter went out to throw a bag in the trash and came running in yelling there's a cat in the dumpster, so naturally I went right out to see. There was not just a cat in there but a mother and 6 wet newborns. I knew they would be dumping our trash soon and the kittens would be killed so I had to take a chance and move the kittens hoping the mother would follow and not abandon them. So I put them into a box and took them into an old shed on the property where the mom could get to them but they would be out of the wind and cold. I also put out some dog food,(which is all I had) and some water for her. The next morning I woke up and went out to see if she had taken care of them. She had eaten the food (which was a good sign) but had taken 3 of the kittens and abandoned 3, those 3 were almost frozen solid from the cold. So I quick grabbed them up and ran them into the house and put them right into one of my brooders. Got their body temps right back up and got some fluid into them subcutaneously. Two of the three didn't survive the next 24 hours, but that 3rd kitten. A little tiger male, has not only survived but thrived and has seen a vet twice for his vaccines and lives with us thinking he's a dog. Even though I am allergic, I can't just abandon the baby I've bottle fed from his 12 hour on of life. I give him weekly baths to keep myself from having an allergic reation to his dander, and I now take an allergy pill once a day. A very small price to pay for a life, I took on the responsibility of saving. Will I have any other cats here, NO not unless I find them at just hours old and frozen again. I am not a cat person on top of the allergy but you can find this little guy most times curled on my chest trying to nurse off my bottom lip or chin...lol He didn't bottle break very well and has issues...lol

I love cats ,not that i dont love all animals i do but i have a real soft spot for cats ,i own 2 moggies and 2 ragdolls they are all very loving but each one being different ,ragdolls are a lovley breed to own they are like little dogs and will follow you everywere but need constant company,my moggies are also very loving ,they are all male i think males make better pets (sorry all you female cat owners ,its just my personal opion)

Yes, I rescue them! I feed feral cats and of course get them fixed and get their shots, provide outdoor housing for them. I also volunteer at a no kill animal shelter with the kitties. I also foster cats while they are waiting to be adopted.

My mother grew up on a farm and later told her suburbanite kids that cats were only good for keeping the rat population down in the barn and that they were wild animals and diseased. Boy, did I learn different when I married a guy who loves cats. He educated me the right way and I found a whole new world opening up. I loved dogs, mom let us have dogs growing up, but the cat kingdom is a whole other realm. Cats all have their own unique personalities. To be loved by a cat is the ultimate love on earth. They make you feel special. We now have six cats and three dogs (all throw-aways and rescued), Critter Crew: Pepper, Max, Stretch, Friskie, Jewels, Jazz, Willow, Sadie and Tom-Tom our new addition who is living in our below- ground kitchen window until he decides he wants to become domesticated. We lost two this last year, Beamer and "Tyler" who was one I bonded with the most and when he died a piece of me was town away. I could not move from my bed for four days, time stopped. The clock is still not ticking right. I have found the joy of cats, but also the confusion of loss. Why can't they have longer lifespans?

Yep. Have four. 8 yrs ago my son brought 7 kittens (2 wks old) home from his place of work (a feed store). The mother had died from getting into rat poison, and he couldn't stand the thought of these little ones starving. Within first few days all but two died, had gotten the poison in system from mothers milk. Last two we were going to nurse to health til weaned and give them to pet store. But by that time had become attached, they had names and my heart. Their coal black, the male looks like a miniature panther, the female like a little fat stuffed animal. That's been 8 yrs ago, both very spoiled, have me well trained (lol), and are now members of my family, not just pets. They seem to win over your heart don't they. Think it's cause they accept you the way you are. Besides, just so cute.

Oh God do I. I have a soft spot for all animals. Ha ha...After I got my third cat ( speaking we had two dogs and two horses, and a turtle) my mom said no more animals. Somehow I have another cat, two more dogs, and two ferrets. My heart is a bit to soft. But what can I say I love each and every one of them, and we all have fun every day.

Oh yes- I will never understand people that hate cats. They shall be shunned :P When I'm in a very bad mood, I watch cat videos on youtube and they always cheer me up. Little kitty meows and their funny antics.
