Not if you listen to your mother

Not failure. Failing would be not learning anything. Mistakes are probably a better way to learn.
-
Not the only way but whatever teaches you has to be powerful. For instance, if they showed the movie Requiem for a Dream in schools, it would probably keep a lot of kids from trying drugs. It's that powerful of a film.

no you can also learn when you dont fail
-
No, but I've sure learned from my mistakes...

I know a TON, and I've never failed, sooo I guess not! Well, I dropped out of high school, but that wasn't really a failure, I just stopped going. It's more like my marriage. It didn't fail, I just quit going. And I never fail at work. Out of the 6 jobs I've had this year, well I got fired at all of them, but it wasn't for failing at anything! ;-)

No, but it is a great way to learn a lesson.

If that's the case then I have learned a hell of a lot.
-
No. But pain is a great teacher.....

The stupid person never learns from his mistakes. The intelligent person learns from his own mistakes. The wise person learns from the mistakes of others. Failure is not the only way to learn. There are many ways of learning that don't necessarily require one to fail. However, sometimes failure can more powerfully imbed the lesson in our psyches than success can.
