  • First you have to figure why its overheating, coolant leak internally or externally,cooling fan not coming on, thermostat not working. Over heating may have blown your head gasket. You will have no heat if the coolant level is low from the over heating and the loss of collant. At this moment I am doing a 1.8 head gasket. Dealer price is about $1200.oo plus taxes. If you have been driving this over heating best get your pocket book out.....your about to pay.
  • If the thermostat is stuck closed then no water can circulate through the engine. That water would cool the engine and provide heat for the heater. For one reason of another water (and/or coolant) is not circulating (if there is any) through the engine.
