A friend of mine is really, seriously, big time into Superman. He has the theme as his ring tone on his cell. Anytime I hear Superman, I think of his son. He's 2 1/2, and every time he hears the phone ringing, he'll stop whatever he's doing and put his arm in the air. He'll stand like that until it stops ringing, then go see who was calling daddy. It's so cute. He thinks his dad is Superman.
-
Christopher Reeve in a class by himself - number one. ----- Next? Love Smallville's Tom Welling. Christopher Reeve guest-starred there and I think would be proud of "number two" in line. Add for nostalgic reasons, George Reeves from the vintage tv series. Dean Cain in "Lois and Clark" is soft in comparison to "the icon" of Superman, but a fun, romantic series in its own right. Of course, the Superman in the Justice League cartoons isn't too shabby either! lol
-
Tom Welling. The hottie from Smallville.

I think of Christopher Reeves. Not only did he play the part of super man, but he was indeed a super man in his life. What courage and strength he showed to all as he faced his ordeal with his health and struggles. That says... "Super Man" to me.
-
Dean Cain by far. The original Clutz for Clark Kent; and the best symbol of awesomness for superman. Reeves was up next because of his classiness. Tom Welling's too much of a pretty boy. George reeves inspired the part; but I wouldn't say he's the best. So my votes for Dean Cain.
