Most of the online versions of newspapers (at least the major publications) have an "Archives" section, that you can search the same way you use a Search Engine like "Yahoo" or "Google". Once you find what you are looking for, you can see excerpts, buy articles and even purchase old printed editions that they may keep in stock. Some of them even print specific pages upon request and charge for that. Now, most of them have articles that go back some years only (i. e. USA Today OnLine Archives go back only til 1987). If you need older editions you can call the Archives number (that you'll find in their Website) or even visit the newspaper offices to go thru microfilms or the printed archives. Hope this helps.
