When I was growing up, that was the only way we would go see a movie. Fun times and great memories. :)
-
no, but I'd like to do that before I die :)
-
... not lately, but yes ... wow, it has been 18 years since the last time, now that I think about it ...
-
Yes I've seen many, many movies at the drive-in. That used to be a favorite thing to do on the weekends. My friends and I would load up the lawn chairs, ice down some beer and head to the drive-in. That was back in the day when the rules weren't so strict. I believe it was probably still illegal, but the owner of the drive-in never complained. We weren't the only ones who did it, lots of people did. And I never remember there being a fight or any type of disturbance.

Yes. There used to be several in the area, all but one has closed. The last movie I saw there was "Sin City".
-
My entire life until recently. This area had one of the 50 surviving drive-ins in the country. It went out of business last year. So sad!!
-
I've never even seen a drive-in theatre.
-
Yes.

Yes I have, I remember going to the stand to buy pop corn and stuff then trying to find my way back in between all those cars...lol....

Many.
-
Yes, many, many times. It's a great family night, but the drive-ins are all disappearing!
-
Many many times. My summers used to be spent looking forward to the next weeks movies, for there were always more than one and sometimes 3! You could bring your own food and drinks. We'd make hot dogs and wrap them up to keep warm and have a picnic, sometimes in the back of our truck. What wonderful times we had:-) I'll never forget the second time we saw Start Wars, the first movie, at the drive-in with all these trucks hauling their speed boats for the weekend at the lake. People were sitting in their boats in the back row having parties. It was FUN!!!!
-
I used to all the time...
-
Yes! I miss that. :-(

I love going to drive-in movies right up to the point they tore them down. I wish we still had them!!

great thing to do ...go to the drive-in's ...when I was a kid in the 50's and 60's ..tinny speakers and driving mum & dad nuts to partying in the late 60's and 70's and fogging up the window's and cursing that squeaky spring in the back of the 'mighty panelvan'!....
-
Yes but not in awhile. I liked them.
-
My entire childhood summer movie adventures were in drive-in theaters. Haven't been to one since I was 18. Are there even any left? + Thanks for the memories!
-
I used to go to the drive-in a lot. when I was a kid, you'd get to see 3 movies! my brother and I would have to take a nap, and we'd go in our pajamas, because we'd never even make it through the 2nd movie. Mom would pop a bunch of popcorn and bring cold soda (in glass bottles!). They were still around when I got older, but then you only got to see 2 movies. Now all of them around town have been torn down to build strip malls. The last one I know of close by (I'm in St. Louis) is over in Belleville, IL...and I read they are trying to sell that off as well. I have a lot of great memories of drive-ins growing up! I hate to see them all go!
-
Yes, I sure have. And, as I got older, there were a number of times when I went to the drive-in but didn't see the movie, (if you know what I mean.) ;-)

My first drive-in movie as a tiny child was "Jungle Book". We always went to drive-ins when I was small. Later, my older sister worked at a drive-in, so I went a lot.
