  • Confront the family member straight out and tell them you believe they are being victimized. If they admit it, I would call on some friendly law enforcement in a hypothetical situation and ask questions about what can be done. The family member victim may be able to help catch some bad guys and that's always a good thing. Good luck!
  • Follow Smart2's advice, but be very careful, and act quickly. If something goes down in their house (assuming you are in US) they can fall prey to the practice of minimum mandatory sentencing, or whatever it's called. It ruins lives senselessly. Write your congressperson.
  • Advise that family member to buy a firearm, preferably one with massive firepower, then to go home and litterally clean house. You have a right to defend you home against invaders, by GOD I would kill them and I swear, disembowel them on the front porch for their gang buddies to take casual notice of.
