  • In my personal experience, and I don't want to startle you, when the temperature drops one full degree one time and then rises over a full degree the next time, I somtimes anticipate some trouble with the delivery. Nothing serious usually... but it could be a big puppy or something. It also could be perfectly normal, and I've had this happen too. What you're describing does sound perfectly normal. You'll notice soon that it will not rise again. Normally it will be low in the morning and rise with the day. Make sure you take them temperature at certain times. For instance like 10am and then 10pm. What usually happens is the temperature drops a full degree and then doesn't raise much during the day. Then you'll know she's due to whelp within a day or two. Good luck and keep us posted!
