I'll live my life to the best of my ability & God will over-see, decide, & handle. So I guess I'd say God.
-
I trust god that everything he does is for the good, even if we dont see how it's good for us he still knows what he does.
-
I know my record and I know his. I'm putting my trust in him above all others. I have my faults:-)
-
I trust God. He has great power.
-
God. A real God doesn't lie.
-
Myself, to trust a god I would have to believe in one.
-
Myself, as I am currently only capable of knowing my own mind.
-
God made the world in six days. He healed so many people. He didn't just change the world, he created it. And he created you. So i trust God above all others and i always will.
-
I believe that if you were to take just one figurative step towards Him, He will approach you 10 fold. And to those who walk towards him, He comes running. Isnt it the sheer ungratefulness of humanity that when we find ourselves in a state of turmoil, we turn to him immediately seeking respite. Yet when times are good, we tend to forget that he's even there. Sad aye.
-
my friends, then myself. god never helped me before, why would it now?
-
God. He sustains me everyday.
-
God. I am human, therefore subject to human frailties, God is incapable of such things and He is ALWAYS there when I need Him. He may not give me what I want, but if I am honest with myself I find that He gives me what I need.
-
Not one or the other, i don't trust myself much and i don't believe in god.
-
I trust God more than I trust anything or anyone.
-
God. but honestly i have to say it's not been the easiest thing to do. i just see that the more i try to find out what the hell i'm doing here on my own i get only more frustrated. at least when i say "ok fine it's up to you" i get a bit of relief to know i'll get through it eventually
-
myself only.
-
I trust myself, Even if I thought that if a God made me, I should be able to be trusted. I do not subscribe to the bible and such...
-
How can you trust something that existence is unknown? I trust myself more because it is me and me alone who decides what I do and what I need. No other creature can do that.
-
Me, still not sure if God exists so until then, i have to trust my self more.
-
GOD!!!
-
I never trust anyone I have never seen or heard. So NO I don't trust God at all. I only trust myself.
-
I trust that God has given me the ability to trust myself wholeheartedly.
-
myself
-
What would I be without God? If you know Him you realize we all are nothing without Him.
-
i trust god to trust me. if he doesn't trust me then how am i here.
-
myself
-
i trust god!!

Which God?

Even if I believed in some version of a god, I would still believe in myself first, and above all. Giving over your personal power, responsibility, and trust to anyone else, even a god, is always ill-advised. It's even more ill-advised when it's a god, actually, because a god isn't human, and has an essentially alien mind and set of values. Case in point: many people trust in God first, and end up dead, destitute, and devastated by life. Obviously what this god, if it exists, sees as good differs substantially from our own human values of good and evil. The old party line of "he has a plan for you" is all nice and good, but I have no way of knowing whether "he" exists at all, let alone if his "plan" for me is consistent with my own goals (like not dying). When I trust other humans, I am trusting that they will take my personal goals and interests into consideration, and help me to advance them - not come up with a plan for my life that they won't tell me about, and then proceed to, seemingly without any rhyme or reason (since I don't know the plan) ignore or hinder my own life goals and progress, and possibly kill me. We would never consider such a person a good friend, worthy of trust. So it seems that this God fellow, if he even exists, is not worthy of trust. When believers use the word "trust" to describe what they feel for God, they are taking a word we use everyday, and using a completely different meaning than we would ever otherwise use the word, such that the only similarity is the sound of the word in the end. It would be better if they called it "g-trust". I could say the same thing for God's so called "g-love" or "g-mercy", which bear not even a passing resemblance to human "love" and "mercy" (hence, those words can never be appropriate descriptions, since they only serve to obscure and confuse the issue).

myself, and those around me that I trust
-
i trust me, my family, friends, and the examples of others. there is no god, no voices in the sky, no beardy guy, no demons, no angels, no devil, no flying spaghetti monster.
-
mvl & morkin, you folks are great! i believe i've found a replacement for wis.dm, my last q&a site ;)
-
Neither! ;-)
-
haha definitely god, humans are idiots and unfortunately i am one
-
Myself. In order to chose trusting in god I would in any case first have to trust myself.
-
Let God be true and every man a liar.
-
I do not believe in the lies of the church and therefor do not trust in any God. All I believe is my self and the most trustworthy of my friends and family.
-
God.
-
Ultimately God the most. Sometimes and even alot of times I have a tendency to trust my own self, and then learn the hard way. But when I trust God, I develop patience, and have the assurance that "all things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to His good purpose."
-
myself, and i don't fully trust myself ;)
-
i trust my high IQ to not let me trust or beleive in god.
-
I trust God a zillion times more than myself
-
I trust God more, but I trust myself a great deal. And God helps those who make every effort to do things on their own, and after they've done all they can do, then turn to him.
-
Myself. I exist, you see.
-
Get a friend to catch you when u close your eyes and fall backwards. Now ask god to catch you.
-
