  • Not to rely on anyone if at all possible, and the love you have for your kids is unconditional. Oh, and patience is a virtue, but still learning that one!
  • I have learned to live peacefully and love hard.
  • The more I learn, the more I realize that I don't know that much...
  • That life isn't always fair, taxes are too high, people need people and that life is what you make it. I choose to be positive and happy. (Usually, anyway!)...
  • That life kicks you in the balls while you are down.
  • That nothing is static. Everything is constantly evolving, falling apart, being rebuilt. Change is the only constant of existence.
  • Life is expensive
  • I need to be grateful for what I have and help others.
  • Love life and life will love you back.
  • That sometimes life isn't fair BUT some of the best prayers that you prayed were the ones that went unanswered
  • There's so much to it that talking about it makes me feel conceited.
  • Seize the day...
  • Give all you have because life is short.
  • Nothing. I know nothing about life, I only believe.
  • I have learned that often when I get angry or frustrated it is because I am trying to control things too much. I have to tell myself that I cannot always control the future nor am I really wise enough to know what outcome really is best. I have also learned that people are allowed reactions to things, and when they do react whether positively or negatively, I shouldn't be upset or offended and I don't always have to take it personally. Sometimes people just get angry.
  • That life is what you make it. That every day is a gift.
  • No matter how much I learn, I will never know half of what I need to make the best decisions about everything all the time. It's OK to need people and they can help bridge this gap. Love, acceptance and tolerance are great traits. Hate, rejection and closed minds will always manifest themselves. Most people have a blend of the two. There are many opportunities to learn, to touch and be touched; you just need to have the courage to reach out and grab these with at least one hand.
  • I've learned to count each day's small gifts. Stop, smell the roses, hear the ocean, see the light, touch the newborns soft hair. Life goes on despite our cares, despite our sorrows. Life is to enjoy. Lean on me. Let me lean on you. People are important. Hope, Love, Friends, Family, Life: all of these things have become more dear to me. There are still a lot of caring people in this world. I have learned that we are all precious and irreplaceable. Life is wonderful! We must live each day as though it may be our last. Be happy and don't make anyone unhappy by what you might say or do. Treat everyone the way you would want to be treated. Be caring and compassionate towards others, you may not see them again. Have peace in your life and love in your heart. I have learned not to take things for granted because you never know if there will be a tomorrow. My sadness won't consume me. My peace is a work in progress. My anger must be felt, expressed and integrated. My joy needs no excuse. I have learned the fear we carry inside us is the only thing that stops us! We define what is truth and what is happiness. Intelligence is not knowing a lot of facts, but rather knowing where to find the facts. When you see happiness just reach out and grab it. This life is NO dress rehearsal for another show later. There are those who can talk "the talk" but few who can walk "the walk." They say that these are not the best of times, but they are the only times I've ever known.
  • That what I have learned so far is just the tip of the iceberg! :)
  • Its not what you know, its who you know.
