Quoted from blackadder, Blackadder: Have you ever been to Wales, Baldrick? Baldrick: No, but I've often thought I'd like to. Blackadder: Well don't. It's a ghastly place. Gangs of rough, tough, sinewy men roam the Valleys, terrorizing people with their close-harmony singing and you need half a pint of phlegm in your throat just to pronounce the place names. Never ask for directions in Wales, Baldrick. You'll be washing spit out of your hair for a fortnight.

I think of the place which somehow caught my heart to the extent that I miss being there more than I miss anyplace else I have ever been - including literal 'Tropical Islands' and exciting 'Big Cities' and even the place that I felt was the closest I would ever feel to being in a 'true home' There is something about the people, the land and the air....my one wish in life is that God will grant just that one wish and let me retire in Fishguard.... But don't EVER drink 'Black Fox' in the pub named after Shakespeare's theatre there....that is NOT a good experience of Wales after more than three or four pints of it ; )

Mountains, Rain, Choiral singing, Rugby and a sister in Law I hated.

two things. First, my friend Hywel. Second: Sex. Anecdotal advice to women having sex for the first time, or with someone they'd rather not: "Close your eyes and think of England..." Naturally, I realize that England and Wales are two ENTIRELY different places/concepts, but the phrasing of the question put that quote in my noggin.

WOW! Quite alot actually. But I will sum it up briefly....A very different life that could have been. I declined the opportunity to move there years ago. Part of me regrets saying 'No' to the chance but part of me is also grateful that I didn't go. What has happened in my life since then would not have happened. I would not have met some very special friends I have now. My life would be very different. I am happy with the choice I made. I would one day love to visit though :)
