I've liked them from the start! The first time I saw them in concert, they were opening for Ozzy during the Bark at the Moon tour, I went twice!

HELLS YEAH MAN. I like just about every album they have put out. St. Anger could have been better but, I guess they were trying to shift winds musically with that one. St. Anger album had some good songs on it but, they didn't have that METALLICA feel to it. I'm not saying every album should sound the same. For example: Load, Reload, and S&M albums don't really sound like their first few albums but they had that METALLICA feel to them, ya know?

Love em' man, I started playing the drums because of them. Awesome live performances and for anyone who bashes them, if you were a band that had been playing for 25 years, you would want to change your sound up. That is part of growing as a musician. Something bands never do is try and expand their horizons musically. Metallica has been criticized from as early as Ride The Lightning when "fans" thought they sold out because they wrote fade to black. What a bunch of idiots!
